imo selfless love is virtuous love. Love with slightest expectations is not pure.

So mothers never have any expectations for their children? Really? There are moms that drive their kids nuts by the weight of the expectations that they place on them. There are moms who push and push their kids to achieve what they dreamt of doing and try to fulfill their dreams through their kids. All parents have some kind of expectations form their kids. Its another fact that most parents still love their kids even if they don't manage to live up to those expectations.

Mothers' love- overly glorified!! If it had an iota of truth, there never would have been cases of women killing their own children 😛.
Bearing a child doesn;t make one mother. In fact, there is abundant trash that we deal with, who have children, husband and multiple lovers 😉.
A recent case of woman stabbing her new born (out of wedlock, extra marital fling) 14 times and leaving it to die. 😭..
Recently, I heard of a woman who had borrowed from her 401K for her internet fling 🤢🤢.. Her children? well.. I don't think she had the time to look after them anyway. Turns out, the fling was a CON artist and this lady wasn;t the only victim.
Anyway, having given examples of few bad moms, those of us who have fantabulous mothers should thank GOD the way I see it. Same with fathers..

Selfless love is true love and lucky few will have it from
God/ parents / friends / spouses and surely from dogs.
It is enough to have it from ONE SOURCE.. It brings happiness to live life.
