Agree with you there QT and you may add Oprah to the list , but lets not forget black rappers making money on singing lyrics that are disparaging and castigating towards women and whites. Two sides of the same coin.

all i am saying is that some people honestly don't discriminate based on someone's color / origin.. (there is nothing dishonest or just being PC) To me, it is always their DEEDS that matter and yes, i honestly discriminate based on that!
It is not color / nationality that affects my likes & I am not dishonest about that 😳.

This topic somewhat reminded me of an incident my sister and I experienced a few weeks ago. We had gone to the local Indian grocery store. I waited outside with my dog since we cannot take her inside and my sister went in to check out what new Hindi movie DVD's were there for rent.

There were a bunch of Indian guys in the store. Inside my sister also happened to meet a white guy who was a friend from high school buying stuff and chatted with him for a bit before going to the DVD rack.

These Indian guys started chit chatting amidst themselves.
"Yeh ladki yahan badi hui hain" "Yeh picture dekh rahi hain lekin isko kya samajh mein ayega" "yeh log to bas indian lagne ke liye title lagake dekhte hain" etc.

All assumptions because she was friendly with a white guy. Little did they know we were both born and brought up in Mumbai and knew very well what they said. When she comes out she makes it a point to ask me in front of them "Ae tereko kaunsa picture dekhne ka hain" and I rattle of in Hindi my movie choices and why I want to see them. The look on the guys faces was priceless.

Probably not related to the topic here. But it just made us realize how presumptuous few Indians can be and how they deem it un-Indian to be mingling with white people. It is a lot of times this attitude that makes it difficult for Americans and Indians to warm up to each other.

Another hilarious culture chaos narrated to me by a co-worker. It happened when she was in college about four years ago.

A Gujarati Patel boy was late in getting admission to UW Madison and the dorms were full. He got placed in a private campus apartment with six female American room mates. One of the girls worked with me.

Of course the boy was happy to be the only man with six women around him. He was a nice polite guy to and they all warmed up to each other. He was a mummy's boy and completely hopeless with his laundry, cooking and household chores. The girls used to cook and clean for him. Being American girls these girls cooked stuff like burgers, chili, hot dogs etc.

This chokra does not tell them he is vegetarian, but even starts eating beef with all his room mates and takes a liking to it. One weekend mid semester the father was in Chicago for business and came up to Madison to visit his son.

Beta was sitting on couch with girls watching friends and eating sloppy joes. Father glares at girls but says nothing. They chit chat for a while. All is fine. Then father looks at the son's plate and is curious what he is eating and asks what it is. Innocent son foolishly replies that it was sloppy joes.

That moment the father flew into a fit of rage. He started yelling at his son for destroying his religion and being a disgrace to the family. He yelled expletives at Americans and how they are out to corrupt our culture. He stormed out demanding that his some pack and leave immediately and that he was going to go through all his contacts to find some Desi roommates for his son.

The six girls were shaken and they were very hesitant around Indians in the future. My co-worker had not had to deal with any Indians for a long time other than occasional bumpings and confessed to me that when she was working with me she did not know how to approach situations.

A lot of Indians are probably taking these six girls reactions and apprehensiveness to be looking down on Indians, when the reality is they never had a bias. One bad incident just made them cautious.

Finally just for kicks my good friends prom date who was an Indian Malyali Catholic confessed to her on prom night that he was gay. His school crush was a Pakistani boy and they both became roommates at TAMS and started going out. I bet that love story was a joy for both families.

👏 👏 👏 👏 ....It's so much easier if there wasn't this one-to-one bond between man and race/background....It beats me why man is judged based on the behaviour of his kin...The biggest recognition of man is is own personal signature identity....No nationality or race can transcend the individual's innate identity!!!

That was unfortunate!!!..It'd be so much better if people do not stereotype and judge a person based on his own merits and foibles....It's sad that man has to bear the brunt of his kith and kin and not his own actions...

Realy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I hate that guy😕😡😛

Poor girls😳

We are an Animal loving nation, we do not kill animals
and let animals share our roads with them. But if we need to sacrifice an animal in the name of some mata, we will not hesitate for a minute.
After all it is for our own good and sacrificed animal do not feel any pain.😉😛

In short all are same....and we like to blame everything on the System, and look the other way. After all who wants to take a blame for their own mistakes....We like to talk big, but act very little on it.....

Not really LH. Honesty flourishes only if you want to be honest... I dont think people induging in politically correct statements to take a radical stand have to defend their freedom either. Its difficult to take a stand when you are likely to stand alone...😊

Sure but if I find halle barre and Charlize standing side by side I would smile at Charlize while handing my coat to Halle.. If I find Denzel standing next to Harrison ford.. I know who I would take autograph from, and thats not Denzel.

All said some blacks I really like Denzel, Naomi, Morgan, Samuel, chris tucker, bill cosby but how many are there in the world!!!!! the rappers are mostly disgusting...Whites have evolved with some maturity which only indians can match upto... Its just that we have divergent thoughts.
