Interesting comaprison, Mythili! However, even kachcha mango has its own mazaa! Ask VT and DB 😆

Best variety of Mango according to me is "Nuzvid Rasalu".Nuzvid is place in coastal Andhra! The mango is very sweet and I like them a lot! we don't get them in Hyderabad much but whenver we get a chance to get them,we buy them a lot!!

Another one added to the favourites list. The more, the merrier 😛

Cheers,

Mythili

Aam papad and chooran? Subah subah marvaohe mujhe. I am drooling thinking about the choorans we had in school. There was this poor lady who would bring choorans and sell it for 15 or 25 paise I guess. I don't remember that but I remember round, reddish-brown yummy chooran. 😛

raunaq, amchoor is dried mango powder, it's used as a spice and some people use tomato as a replacement of amchoor.

Raunaq, so sweeeeet!

Mango Leather or Aam Papad : Homogenized mango pulp is taken and potassium metabisulphite is added to it @ 2 g per kg of pulp. The pulp is then spread on trays smeared without and kept for drying in solar dehydrator or sun. After drying of one layer, another layer is spread over it and kept for drying. The process is repeated as per desired thickness. Finally they are cut into pieces and wrapped in butter paper or polythene cellophane sheet.
