I still feel:

But here, I am asking a question pertaining to our views about a movie mostly movie's are unreal, so when you talk about views on a movie, you are in hypothesis, so almost everyone is going to be in contradiction some way or the other

about a debate topic, you choose a for/against side in debate, some might contradict their core thought based upon what their frame of mind is, I really do not count that as contradiction

/ a race / a nationality / political situation This depends to the situation at hand, if you talk about terrorism, a race/nationailty might be on opposite side

political situation 😆 almost all Indians are in contradiction to themselves, most of the people love BJP for India, but they hate the republicans in America. If you look at the core, both BJP and Republicans are mirror images, but the same desi who hates Republicans, loves BJP at home, go figure😉

/ reaction to something in life: Depends on expeirience or situation at hand

As for debating here, once we had a discussion I think and almost everyone came to an agreement, you isolate your views to that topic to that thread, whatever opinions you stated in that thread are valid only for that thread(that is how debating is, and this is debate mansion after all😉), it might totally contradict your opinions in another thread.

I know some folks love to form opinion of a person based upon their views, but they are not aware they are in for a roller coaster ride😆

oh and yeah depending on the frame of mind that day If I read my own view it brings a smile to my face, but in the context, generally if redone I will have the same views

A human's behavioural pattern tends to repeat itself(very oft used technique in evaluating personnel in the real world, you know😉)

that is the reason why we only have one Valmiki to cite and rest are all the same😉

Sareg , I really liked what you said above...Our behaviour is filled with anamolies but as long as the underlying current is constant that is what matters.. Our ability to grow makes us contradict ourselves sometimes but the basics must be inplace sometime before we die... 😊

I tend to change my opinions a lot. I am very open to a convincing argument. I didnt believe in affirmative action for years, and my teacher and i were talking about it and i continued the discussion with my brother and i changed my mind about it. i have always felt that its only the close minded that choose to stick to ideas for the sake of sticking to ideas. As someone once said "consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds." That isnt to say that if someone doesnt present worthy views u shud change ur mind anyway for the sake of changing it. but u shud be open to change, to learning and finding out more.
