Few days back when Nishabd was released, that day on Zee News i saw a group of people carrying Big B's posters in their hands protesting in a way, they were not happy with the movie by the message conveyed.

They had taken out their chappals and destroyed the poster, and finally they put fire on it as well showing their anger for the role he had done it.

It is true that actors are doing their job, they get paid for it too!
But the question is Big B being the legend of today for many people out their, is it the right choice for him at this time?

KANK was criticized a lot because it was about extra marital affairs, saying that the movie conveyed a wrong message to audience.!

Big B to go and do a movie falling in love with a gurl of 18 years ?
Is the message conveyed through the film okay?

Why not? It happens in real life...people shout nowadays to watch realistic films (otherwise films like salaam-e-ishq would not have flopped)...then why not this...older men do fantasize about younger girls and vice versa...love and sexual attraction is a very natural thing, it can happen between any two individuals forgetting caste, sex and age...so why all the protest?

After all an actor just does his part...an actor should be able to do any kind of role, and take it as a challenge...why was KANK given such a hard time? It does happen in real life...

The problem is most people who protest in such an ugly manner, I am sorry to say have not had the best education...and cannot accept reality and thinks its a hindrance in society which it is not.

The question is not about big B doing the role, the question is does that happen in our society.?

If there are pedophiles in our society lurking around behind the masks of suave faces and sophisticated personalities then who is a better actor than the legend himself to get this message across that beware of the people whom you trust, who look nice ,they could after ur child.I think when an amitabh plays this role it becomes more real and convincing .We always protect our kids from someone looking like a typical badman from our movies but how many times does it cross our mind to be careful of the nice and sophisticated people with whom we interact.

If we have a problem then show it and if its potrayed by someone like amitabh ,its easier to get the message across.

I think that amitabh is doing a great job by potraying this negative character. If we hate him in the movie then that is his victory as an actor👏.

We all know that he is in a position to do the kind of roles he wants to but still he did this very negative character.Hats off to him.👍🏼

I know ishaan but i would consider a 60 year old man going after an 18 year old girl as a pedophile although not technically because the girls is 18.

In most of the cases when the pedophiles go after the kids they lure the kids and the kid feels as if he/she is in love .Thats whay these cases come into the open after a long time, most of the times its a two way lovestory🤢

In India many think that their way of thinking is superior to others and they don on moral policing to eradicate the evil corrupting our so called traditions. People forget that Cinema is a medium of art. It is mostly made for entertainment and do reflect our society but that doesn't mean that everything shown in the cinema is a lesson or preaching. We don't oppose a film which shows the main lead eloping which is the crust of most Indian films. Then why do we raise voice against movies like Nishabd, KANK or Fanaa? Each film comes with a rating and the ones rated 'A' is for mature audience. Every film needn't be a glossy one or a Hum Saath Saat hain kind. Cinema should cater to people from all walks of life.

I personally loved KANK because I thought the movie beautifully conveyed how two losers end up together who couldn't respect their spouses or the beautiful relationship they had. The treatment was mature but somehow panned by critics. On the contrary I was not comfortable watching Nishabd after the promos as it conveyed a wrong image of the movie but critics loved the movie. I think it too has an intense love story defying the society. I would never know because I am disgusted with the promos. Marketing makes a huge difference and I think Nishabd was marketed badly which kept family audiences away. There was a similar track in Black but people appreciated the movie.

To some extend I believe that actors have moral obligation towards the society because of their demi-god status. Many look up to them. But there is something called creative satisfaction. Actors need that too. When we look up to them as role models we should focus on their deeds in real life rather than cinema. But we seem to mix reel with real. That is the reason why in India we support criminals like Sanjay Dutt and appreciate his films like Munna Bhai MBBS.
