Mr. Shivprasad Deshmukh - Little Bit of Context and his Point of View

Please note, this post does not intend to normalize Shiv's behavior or recklessness, may look at it as a small attempt to defend him a bit from his point of view.

A blind person cannot tell their favorite color, and you cannot describe the taste of food you never tasted, similarly you cannot perfectly role play the life you never experienced.

Today his conversation with Chintu, where he explained that hero can be made through common man, and that he has to be Human before Heman; but when you are heman, it's difficult to understand Human.

In real, a common man would never react the way Shiv does, because they do not have the power and authority like Shiv. If common man's wife slaps a goon, husband would support his wife. When common man's wife calls him that she and his children are under attack, reaction should have been shocked, dropping everything and rushing home - Empty handed to manage the situation, and hugging the family while being scared themselves, crying and worried of what could have been.

All this is difficult for Shiv to even imagine because he is NOT a common man, he does not have an idea of how common man looks at the problem like these because so far he has dealt with it differently. He was never scared to face these things, he was never under panic nor will he be for these things.

For him, in his mind common man's problems are something like what should be price of fishes, if vegetables are good, how do we manage finances, etc. Never in his mind, he has imagined or learnt about common man's problems involving safety, injustice, or crimes, because those are hidden under power, and not something "visible" everyday.

His only agenda for Shalini and his is to leave these things to me, while my family just stays happy - safe isn't in his mind, because he knows he is hero!

So, no his way of dealing with Shalini's fears is not valid, if anything it does look insensitive. Overtime, he needs to learn or understand real fear of common man to help them in real sense. He has to be at that position where he loses his strengths, authority, and everything to understand that Shalini's fear of "What could have been" kind of situation.

Chintu clearly said, he wasn't scared of those goons because he knew his paa will save them, he is hero - something that Shalini does not know and nor does Pihu. So, of course it was difficult for Chintu and Shiv to imagine. Gravity of situation differs because Chintu may still face consequences while Paa wasn't around. But for Shiv, Parshuram will always be around!

Clarification point: I know Shiv meant human as in insaniyat, but my context Shiv not understanding human is mostly around complex common human fears. But somewhere even Chintu was jumping on to not wanting to be any common profession too.

Shiv has lot of emotional intelligence and IQ and that's how he is able to take care of Shalini and kids; but there are certain things he does lack to understand of common people's need. Hence, he is often reckless even with Shalini's feelings and all with her family. That's ok, it's natural for someone who is out there savings world unlike common man.

Awesome!! I loved how you described Shiv. He still has no idea how to react as a common man, may be because till now his line of duty hasn't been crossed with his family's safety. As Sheetal said in one episode, no one in underworld knew who's Parshuram in reality..may be because he always makes sure the criminal is dead or doesn't open his mouth for the rest of their lives.. or never had opened his family cards in front of them.. so his family were safe..till now..and now suddenly his family came in front of his rivals and criminals. So he doesn't know how to protect, and mostly how to react in such a situation where his family is involved.

As you mentioned yesterday, I was too tired to reply 🫣, after rebuking his wife when he heard guns being pointed at his children, he actually lost it. That point I felt he was ready to save his children as Parshuram then and there without any Shiv's facade. He called Balram so loudly that he would have done something really unexpected. I loved that part.

Shiv actually indirectly avenged his wife's insult of being touch by shooting the goon at his hands.. but now I want him to learn the way of common man..protecting his wife as a common man

Yes thats the feeling I got after watching couple of scenes. For example: while talking to his MIL, he was in investigative mode and when she asked about his location, he said he is at home. He never thought about the possiblity of MIL calling Shalini and informing about his whereabouts. He is unable to calculate/estimate things pertaining to mundane life. Thats where he is failing to address Shalini's fears as common man/husband. Once Shalini starts rebuking him, he will step up in his common man mode as well.

Yeah he basically is trying to describe common man with very few variables, like getting vegetables, buying a home on EMI, meagre salary etc. . Because he can only act with so many variables. Now that his family's safety is threated, his variables are not fitting the reality. He has to add more of them which he is not trained for. Only way is to slowly reveal his true personality without causing much doubt in shalini's mind
