"Nana and I have been seeing each other since August last year when I went over to his place for Ganesh Chaturthi," smiles Punam who has known Nana for almost all her life. "Both my parents and Nana were together in college and we have been family friends since then. But only last year, when I returned from the US after a stint of modelling, did we get in touch again and since then we have gotten real close. But I don't know about the future. We're just taking each day as it comes."
The two have been reportedly spending a lot of time at Nana's Lokhandwala apartment and were also recently seen dining at a suburban restaurant completely oblivious of their surrounding, lost in deep conversation. So is Nana willing to admit to this new romance?
"Nahi re baba. Pagal ho kya?" laughs a blushing Nana, who is most curious to know how the information came our way. "I don't deny knowing her. But she is only a child, yaar. I have known her since she was a oneyear-old kid. Her parents were my classmates."
So how would he define their relationship? "I feel really funny answering all this questions..." he trails off, adding, "I am in love with my work. Aise thodi love ho jaate hai!"
But doesn't he feel the need to settle down again? "Never. No marriage for me," he says with finality. Even though Nana is divorced, he says that he is still very close to his former wife. "We are very good friends. Usually at this stage of life, one tends to miss a companion. But by God's grace, I don't miss anyone. I am pretty content the way life is," he smiles.
