Dude, not even big storylines like weddings. My mom was watching Radha Mohan and I remember her telling me a month ago that Radha got stuck in a freezer, and then last week she was telling me how Radha is still stuck in that same freezer and I was like "What do you mean? 🤣" for audience it was a month of torture, for them it was one hour only🤣

Even sitcoms and teen dramas have moved on from their usual 22-26 episode per season run and honestly, I wish we had more shows that were either binge-able or with episodes released weekly. I feel like having seasons where there are breaks taken in between allows writers to have some breathing room and kind of get an idea of what's working and what's not based on what the audience has been saying. I think it's hard to do something like that with the daily format, ya know what I mean?

One season with two or three main plots would work nicely I feel! In 20s epi you have enough room to develop characters and all! You give rest to cast as well!

totally agree, after K drama world, u wont find anything interesting in ITV...same old story in new bottle😵😵

They keep selling the same bottle with a new tagline in the different channels!🤪 What’s new in EMAs, love triangle between 2 brothers and a girl or two sis and a man or cousins falling for the same character?🫠🫠

Woah Wildest, I didn't know you were a Kdrama fan too. I am a newbie compared to all of you😆 it took some time to start but here I am, addicted to K world❤️

On the topic: Ofcourse it's far more better than TODAY'S ITV. Better storyline, amazing cinematography, good looking actors, and so on.

There is no point to debate 😆 K drama rocks, ITV sucks🤣

Yesss…they are copying most of the scene! With same dialogue too translated in Hindi🤪 RIP TVD! I saw some clips online and I wanted to poke my eyeballs

The fact that I dont watch them

I'm sure they don't have kitchen politics and they certainly don't make babies by staring the fooook out of each other

You have already well put why the k-dramas are unique. Right from their finite series to the range of genres and good chemistry between the leads we just go deeper into it with every kdrama. IIRC my first kdrama was "the master's sun" in 2014 . then I guess "Healer". What really made me hooked was LMH dramas when I binged all his drama in 2016.. now they all r outdated but thats the best thing too..they content moves with the age and is so relatable...we get content for every age grp from high school to older ppl..K dramas got popular coz of their romance shows in the beginning but now all have come to realization they offer such large variety especially the thriller genre, slice of youth and their medical dramas. Squid game brought nice attention to it worldwide..though sometimes I feel possessive about kdrama and dont want them to go main stream as I am always worried if it will mess up its uniqueness...but I think netflix is bringing back to back nice shows...just hope they dont turn them into seasonal shows.

Whenever I need a break from kdramas...I switch to cdramas or jdrama or thai...

It was hard to get into cdramas for a while but when I watched Meteor garden in 2018. that barrier was broken and since then it has been a nice ride exploring the fantasy drama they offer..very refreshing break from kdramas.

ITV imo is stuck in never ending family saga...genre is limited...plus we cant relate at all to the characters...last ITV I watched was kaisi yeh yaariaan and that being an adaption of jdrama and kdrama ka combo lol which also had turned into mess after leaps. Even if like a show ..they butcher characters so much we end up hating it later..there is no satisfaction story wise...characterisation wise..just endless celebration of holi , diwali and what not...
