It’s not about political issues only.

Sonam preaches on Twitter that save the climate n yeda yeda yeda. Someone asked her, the population you are preaching to has minimum per person carbon emission. You travel in luxury car which damages environment more than thousands of us traveling by Mumbai local. Will you stop doing that?

She came back with misogynist card. 😆

So for celebrities, we preach and don’t practice.

If you are not gonna implement what you are preaching to Aam janta, you fcking have no right to preach. Keep your moral superiority at your home. You ain’t superior.

"wings" aren't my cup of tea and I'm a rather apolitical person...yet I understand atominis' concerns as - regarding the government and its followers - India is on the verge to lose its "democratic" stamp.

It has become obvious that the lessons of mankind's history don't serve for the better. That's because mankind doesn't change (in general)...I think, evolution - until now - still has not eliminated/repaired the faults in our "machine"...there definitely lacks a kind of "golden bridge" between a part of our two-sided brain.

We are prone to vent negativity with more enjoyment although knowing that concentrating on the positive would have a better outcome. But how concentrate on the positive when the own life is poor, unhappy, difficult, unhealthy (in comparison to those with a presumed better life - mostly with reference to the respective economic situation).

Isn't it interesting that those who indoctrinate others with negativity are wealthy or misusing their power for personal gains (and therefore mock those who believe them)?

Isn't it interesting that violence, hatred, injustice and lies have become a standard (especially by those who legally pose as being concerned about people of the country)?

Isn't it interesting that the focus is more on refering to the past than concentrate on the betterment of the present for a hopefully more prosperous future?

Someone here wrote that one has to join hands (figuratively) to fight a corrupt and inhumane system...a single person is an easy target...but joining hands only makes sense when the WHOLE community strives for bettering things.

I know you are right. But we live in a regime where even ordinary citizens and students are jailed for liking posts or sharing memes.

Or fired from jobs or expelled from college for SM posts.

This is a vindictive regime and anti democratic. Of course all stars have right to public opinion and support whatever ideology they want but they sometimes need to keep quiet for own sake. Amitabh does same since burning his hands in 80s and suffering all through 90s due to foray in politics. Kishore Kumar was also banned from AIR and replaced with copycats for speaking against Emergency in 1975.

This is era of undeclared emergency and pliable masses easily fooled by SM and media propaganda in name of faith and nationalism. Why to give them fodder by discussing openly what you eat, like Rishi bragged about eating beef or flaunting your faith or atheism etc?

Atul Kulkarni's old tweets are also being used to bash LSC just because he said he was atheist and not a Hindu. Stars and filmmakers are being harassed for own beliefs and result is there to see.

Rishi Kapoor actually faced stone pelting outside his house, RK studio and on his car for his beef comment in 2015. Bhansali was slapped. Prakash Jha was attacked for making Aashram. Bollywood either gotta keep quiet or take legal action rather than saying things, apologising later or keeping quiet later after saying things earlier.

Article says who pelted stones outside Rishi's house and why..the real vindictive regime was responsible for that. And ur post..this and earlier one .. makes it amply clear which one was the vindictive regime😆

Aajkal bas log SM par outrage karke hi mann mana lete hai..no one is banned as such

this is another example of preaching blindly what is happening in the west and aping liberals there without understanding issues on the ground in India

as somebody rightly said, left and right itself is totally different in indian context

preach for no metros etc and travel in your private jet and car

vegetarinism/veganism is actually climate friendly and hence is in vogue in west but in India they wont support as it has a different connotation

advertise for PETA and carry designer leather bags, dont repeat outfits

He can't lie about hindus being intolerant (when it is his community which goes around beheading people) and cry about lack of democracy when his movies are boycotted.

Lying and peddling agenda should have consequences.

It is absolutely appalling that hindus have to give more explanations over boycotting movies than muslims have to give over all the violence they carry out peacefully all over the subcontinent(and beyond)

You are the one lying.

I challenge you to show me where he called ‘Hindus’ intolerant or where he went around complaining about India ‘lacking in democracy.’

I don't think compromising your principles for economic gain is the right lesson for anyone to learn. If you genuinely believe in something, then you should stand by it. If you compromise your principles so that people like or you become financially successful then you are living a life and will never be happy with yourself. And I am talking about genuine beliefs here, not superficial claims made for attention.

That being said when it becomes a question of principles and the safety of your loved ones, it is a catch-22. I don't blame people for selling out in order to keep their families safe.

those who have strong beliefs dont need words and social media bombast to do it. they will demonstrate in actions, none of these stars who talk have actually done anything in action as far as I know which is why nobody takes their preaching seriously and it irritates

somebody like vjyjayanthimala and hema malini always said classical dance was above everything for them, vyjayathimala is 85+ and still dancing, hema devoted her life post movies to it.

mansoor khan moved away and lives a life on a farm

even vinod khanna left his stardom at the peak and followed osho

amala started blue cross in hyderabad and did so much for it

Exactly.

Outside of India, Show off as Vegan, support PETA. India mein, vegetarian ko support karenge toh Hindutva vadi ho jayenge (that’s the narrative).

Bakri Eid pe PETA veta gaayab ho gaya beta. 😆 PETA once held a show on Bakri Eid in Mumbai and workers were thrashed by violent mob (obviously). Uss din se leke aaj tak PETA has not uttered a word on Bakri Eid. Baki Hindu festivals pe every time PETA has an advise.

BW is same. Bakra kaato toh no problem, Diwali pe patakhe nai jalane ke coz mere kutte ko aavaaj se taklif hoti hai.

And when someone points out the hypocrisy, cry victim, blame Hindus and Modi. 🤣
Rinse and Repeat!!
