The atrocities on Kashmiri Pandits were real. The fact was that during the British rule most apple orchards were owned by the few rich Kashmiri Pandits who had homes in the UK and most were related to royalty. The laborers were the rest of the Kashmiri Pandits who were poor and the majority poor Muslims. When we defeated Pak in 1971 they started this propaganda of Hindu vs Muslim and it worked well cause the poor lived a very poor life in Kashmir, the rich enjoyed luxury, when the killing first started, the rich pandits moved and the poor got massacred. It's not just Pandits many Sikhs used to live in Kashmir too.

Having said that, the movie Kashmiri Files is making news for all the wrong reasons. Agnihotri is a BJP stooge who is villanizing one entire community whereas terrorism knows no religion. If you want to watch a beautiful, sensitive movie on the Kashmiri Pandits, watch Shikara instead, a Vidhu Vinod Chopra-directed movie which released in 2020.

No, and I don't think she is the only one who feels this way.

Why did the ' terrorists who know no religion ' not drive out Kashmiri muslims too??

"terrorism knows no religion". That's not true at all. By saying that i am not villanizing an entire community. But to believe that religion plays no part in it is just being naive. World is not so black and white as you are making it out to be minty.

Were you there? When it happened, so you have authority on saying that shikhara shows the truth. My family and hundreds were.

See sensitivity beauty is all good until it happens to people, just because people are too sensitive to digest the truth of massacre that happened in kashmir. This movie shows the truth that will cause violence by some mindless bigots so let the truth be hidden.

If shikhara is such a nice movie wtf does it have such low ratings, matlab no one talked about it till the kashmiri files released . Itna pyaar tha toh pehle is film ko kisi ne popular kyun nhi kia 🤣

You know this similar rich kps and poor km things were told to germans and that made the jews villains and maybe you know what happened with them.

Saying terrorism knows no religion is disrespectful to the victims of crimes by religious terrorism.

It is as easy as saying let us not have war, crime, hate and let us see only love, goodwill and happiness. Wish humanity is this simple.

P. S: I was not going to comment on the Kashmir movie at all but seeing the cliche statements like terrorism knows no religion is irritating.

IMO, the movie’s focus was more on establishing and gloating about how BJP have revoked the Article 370. They didn’t even focus properly on the KPs, let alone the KMs. No backstory no mention of the insurgency from Pakistan and how it first came to light, and how those terrorists made use of the then existing circumstances in creating insecurity in the KMs minds and followed the divide and rule in eventually taking over the valley. It was just a single note agenda driven hotch potch attempt to basically establish BJP as the messaiah of the Country.
