Hate to break it to you BUT EVERY CITIZEN has the right to take any political stand of their choosing without joining politics. Its not mandatory lol. People make Politics. People choose Politicians. That's literally democracy. Also standing in solidarity with students who were attacked by rods and could have attacked by acid..one does not need to join politics for that. One does not need to differentiate between actresses and politicians for that. Its ridiculous to even suggest that.
Sigh ...
I clearly mentioned:
"Disclaimer: Not supporting Bhargava's statement. Just pointing out that Richa's comeback fails because Bhargava clearly differentiates between actresses and politicians."
My post was based on Richa's comeback ... not on whether or not Bhargava's statement is correct or whether I think citizens have a right to take a political stand.
I agree that every citizen has the right to take a political stand and you can't differentiate between actresses and politicians. I agree that Bhargava's comment is ridiculous, demeaning, and stupid. But I'm going to call out Richa for not reading the article, but rather commenting on a click-bait headline ONLY. How do I know? Because Bhargava's comment wouldn't apply to actresses turned politicians ... they did exactly what he "expected" them to do (whether or not that is right/wrong is not the point ... put that aside for now).
You have read the article to get the entire picture before jumping to conclusions based on the juiciest parts. In this case, I think Richa's comeback could have been worded better given the entire scope of Bhargava's comment, having a better effect. We live in a dangerous time ... getting informed is necessary. Commenting without reading the entire article is plain stupid.
