Hate to break it to you BUT EVERY CITIZEN has the right to take any political stand of their choosing without joining politics. Its not mandatory lol. People make Politics. People choose Politicians. That's literally democracy. Also standing in solidarity with students who were attacked by rods and could have attacked by acid..one does not need to join politics for that. One does not need to differentiate between actresses and politicians for that. Its ridiculous to even suggest that.

Sigh ...

I clearly mentioned:

"Disclaimer: Not supporting Bhargava's statement. Just pointing out that Richa's comeback fails because Bhargava clearly differentiates between actresses and politicians."

My post was based on Richa's comeback ... not on whether or not Bhargava's statement is correct or whether I think citizens have a right to take a political stand.

I agree that every citizen has the right to take a political stand and you can't differentiate between actresses and politicians. I agree that Bhargava's comment is ridiculous, demeaning, and stupid. But I'm going to call out Richa for not reading the article, but rather commenting on a click-bait headline ONLY. How do I know? Because Bhargava's comment wouldn't apply to actresses turned politicians ... they did exactly what he "expected" them to do (whether or not that is right/wrong is not the point ... put that aside for now).

You have read the article to get the entire picture before jumping to conclusions based on the juiciest parts. In this case, I think Richa's comeback could have been worded better given the entire scope of Bhargava's comment, having a better effect. We live in a dangerous time ... getting informed is necessary. Commenting without reading the entire article is plain stupid.

ok, so how Richa's tweet is wrong or out of place. The substance is as demeaning and explicit as the headline right ? So Richa's tweet is also relevant and proper! The guy is clearly policing what an actress should or should not do. Why ? There comes Richa's reply.

What acc. to you would be proper reply to such nonsensical stuff as Gopal Bhargava ?

Please re-read that comment. IF was being jumpy and my entire comment got cut off for some reason. I think you quoted me and started replying before I managed to figure out how to fix the problem.

If you still would like me to respond to your questions, please let me know. I don't anticipate it though.

Well the term Tukde was made famous and used by the very people who are now identified with the term. Also their affinity for Azaadi in a free country makes them every bit anti-national

Indians are taking their freedom of speech for granted and misusing it against the very social fabric of nation. Had they been in any other Asian country , they wouldn’t be tagged only, they would be eradicated without trace.

There is a difference between being called a Bhakt and an anti national. Bhakt doesn't imply u r a criminal, but when u get labelled as anti national and supporter of terrorism, it is being implied u r criminal or a potential criminal. Thats where difference lies and thats how a narrative is set that when u criticise the government or stand against them it means u r against the country. Thats not what democracy means.

If someone chants "Bharat tere tukde honge", then that person could legit be termed as "Anti - national "

If a person or group of people damage national property, in the name of protest ,then they will be termed "Hooligans "
