This is so heart breaking. I can't even begin to imagine what the families of the martyrs must be going through. How did this even happen??!! Such a huge security lapse.
Prayers and strength to the families! This is beyond horrible!!! :(

40 men lost is perhaps 200 to 300 lives permanently affected. This time around there won't even be bodies left for a last good bye because they have been shredded to pieces. Don't even know what to say or how to condemn a thing as horrific as this.

Horibble news .

What a waste of precious lives . These ppl are just professional soldiers following orders .

Their has been a huge intelligence failure . 300 kg of ammunition is huge , how was it smuggled and stored .

These routes are supposed to be sanitised before large convoys pass through ..what happened .

Jaish has taken responsibility. Where is it headquartered ? Who heads it ? How is it allowed to thrive .

44 families lost loved ones today. Horrible horrible news. I feel so terrible for our jawans, the borders in Kashmir r so unsafe.
There should be discussions in UN about this. And fruitful logical discussions. I feel hopeless about Kashmir situation honestly. And then you see these terrorist groups all smug in videos while admitting to such heinous crimes.

Some of my questions exactly.

How was so much RDX moved? This isn't a small homespun pipe bomb or pressure cooker bomb. It is a massive load of explosives that a lay civilian should never be able to get together.

How did the person know when and where to target a 70 truck convoy for maximum impact? From what I understand, large convoys are rare. They usually split convoys or take multiple routes to the destination to avoid ambush on the whole convoy. And all convoys are supposed to have recon scouts ahead ensuring the route is all clear. Why was the convoy so big and how did recon scouts miss the attack?

There clearly is a lot to investigate to get the bottom of how this happened and then address is appropriately.

In a news channel they were discussing how it's impossible to do such a huge attack without local people's help
