But you can become a part of the whole without throwing away your cultural identity...the former lawyers and judges and teachers are more likely to do that then the barely went to school, unskilled laborers from Pakistan that seem to be everywhere here in GCC and Saudi Arab..

I think even in Europe and North America, the educated ones tend to assimilate..not culturally but mentally they ll be on the same wave lenght

The problem is, they usually don't. Across UK, France, Belgium, Netherlands etc, you have segregrated towns and cities, even after a whole generation has past. One just needs to pop down Luton, Bradford, Birmingham, Blackburn to see that people have not assimilated.

Most of the people coming into Europe are not Syrian, and they are not refugees. Most of the people Germany took in last year were males, most of whom were young males, unskilled and lack qualifications.

I understand. Countries facing undocumented immigrants problem should continue increasing border patrol, continue deporting those undocumented, continue beefing up inspections...

On another note, I never understood why people in the troubled countries still continue breeding at higher rates. Do they even know what kind of an environment they are bringing their kids into?

Depends on the socio economic background doesnt it?
The ones who have formed little lahores in say Luton or Birmingham are little more than what they were back home...shopkeepers ... Cooks...there kids get a bare minimum education and basically continue with the old ways in the nrw country
Change comes over 2-3 generations with education and broadened horizons and when each new one evolves and from whatever i have heard of desi areas of some cities, they sound like continuation of walled city of lahore.. People living and dying within those walls, without even bothering to look outside.

take Someone like Aamir Khan.. Barely educated.. But success and oppurtunities (and educated in laws) means that his children and especially granchildren will be an improvement on his father and himself


And i dont mean money wise... Just opprutunies and education over successive generations means that the person will be more able to self reflect, take the good, leave behind the bad you know?

Or maybe i have oversimplified 😆
It is definitely basef alot on my personal experiences and anecdotal evidence..
