It's a case, imo, of the 'nanny' state. The government in the UK takes its responsibilities towards its citizens seriously but only bans child p*rn sites. In a democracy, provided they are not breaking any laws on the statute books, are free to do as they please. Governments are not there to promote any particular version of morality.

BTW I found it interesting to note on NDTV that some police in Mumbai were engaged in moral policing - going into hotels and preventing consenting adults privately engaging in whatever activity they wished. Since when was it a crime in India for consenting adult people to engage in physical relationships?

I had to visit your profile@iMini
Yes, if minors like you can chat with us adults, then locks are not working very well, are they? 😆

Oh boy, some people are living in lala land. The problem with the UK is that the government is f**king the kids themselves.

I stand by the main part of my argument that in a democracy government have no right to define or impose its morality only define and eliminate criminality.

Because you didn't bother acknowledging that free po*n is doing more harm than good. The government never banned po*n or imposed it's morals upon you.It banned 857 po*nographic websites because these websites didn't clearly state how it's content is produced and how exactly did these sites ensure that it's visible only to adults. If you still really badly need po*n you still have a lot of ways.

Older people will know this, before internet there were adult books. There are still available today in some parts of India. These books could range from simple illustrated fantasy stories or could be extreme. Good thing about this was we had to do pretty nifty tricks to get our hands on these books.

Point is, po*n material was there form long time. Internet just made it too easy to get it and it became impossible to keep it limited to target audience. Now if you want it or not it is in your face. Simple fact that minors are able to talk on the same platform as adults is a thing of concern. Bans aside, how can we protect and prevent people who are minors from getting on to adult content?

Major websites have policies which clearly state that you need to be above certain age to register on the site. However these checks and balances are not adequate. So it becomes important for parents and guardians to look after the browsing behavior of minors.

So,you got no conclusive proof that they're minors. Which would mean that my assertion regarding the laws is correct.

Wonder what is the age of the models who would have been inspiration for all those stone carvings in the caves and temples of ancient India. I am assuming they are all adults because of good faith in our culture.

May be when we move from kali yuga to dvapara yuga we might have bit more faith in content providers. Wait, it could also mean when we move into dvapara yuga we get bit more enlightened and we dont want or need to watch po*n anymore.

Someone bloody change that calendar like what North Korea did and may be we go into better yuga.

As per the Indian law,an accused will be treated as guilty until proven innocent. Hence,I need you to prove that all the videos and pictures on all these 857 websites have only adults who had consented. Also, prove that the audiences too consists only of adults. Impossible, I myself am a minor.I rest my case.Thank you.
