Seriously? does it stop gang rapes? Does that mean everyone who watches po*n potentially goes out and rapes. Now they cant watch po*n so they will stop raping.

Although addiction to po*n is by no means a good thing, in fact addition to anything is not good.
I totally support banning illegal sites, underage and deviant activity. However there is a large industry which produces legal po*n material, should that be banned?

On a different thought, what comprises as po*n? For me content produced by most of Bollywood or other Woods in India look like po*n. I cant sit with family and watch with out being embarrassed for some scenes that come on screen. So should we clean that up too by banning them.

Over that there is another question. How to you enforce this ban. IP blocking / DNS blocking / deep packet inspection? technically there is no fool-proof way of blocking po*n. There are several ways to get around the ban. So people who want to watch it will watch it anyway. If all else fails there will be mafia selling CDs in black market. So there is another area for gangs and bhais to earn more money from addicts.

Sales of po*n DVDs have gone up apparently. Good job by the govt to get more people to it.

Next on the block with similar tactics-100% FDI, Interlinking of rivers, GMOs etc. A trip to holiest of holy lands I.S.rea.l on the way. 😆😆

True. Deviant sex po*n should be banned. But now with people flocking everywhere and an underground mafia cropping up, all po*n-anal, this that lingus, sadist, masochist, bestiality will circulate more.

Only people who will benefit out of this ban is the underworld. if we know better some corrupt ministers and police will also make some money as kick backs to give protection to the underworld doing this business. Wait that would be all the minister and most of the police. Call me senseless but I think I still have some belief in police. Because i knew few from department and I know how passionate they are at doing the right thing. Only problem is the minister would tell them to either shut up or go do some dogs work.

Long back there was prohibition is some states for alcohol. People who wanted to drink always found ways to get drunk. To add to the problem there was lot of deaths due to illegal and methylated alcohol. What happened next was too obvious. Prohibition was lifted. Not before some people made big money supplying illegal contraband.

A govt that has the rights to control what feeds the stomach should also have the rights to decide what feeds the mind. 😛Those who did not have a problem with the previous ban ought not to object to this current ban 😆

This is really hilarious😆 This is surely going to have a Streisand effect, basically the more you ban something, the more regressive the mindset becomes, it just makes it so powerful.

Think about it.. Earlier it was only rapes.. today mostly its gangrapes... most masses in india are not capable to restraining themselves after watching po*n... and given the condition of indian woman its only logical to prevent this level of provocation!!!

How to enforce the ban.. just make it excruciatingly painful to get it in india.. thats it... dont compare bollywood - you are going on a tangent here... i have seen crime at a point blnak range on daily basis... but gangrapes is totally a phenomena of last few years...today its either a child raoe or an adult gangrape... po*n is inherently bad.. at least for our society!!!

Gujarat has alcohol ban and I dont think all gujarathis are running helter skelter due to some withdrawal syndrome.. 😆

all sensible bans will work dont you worry.. let the few who want to smuggle or get it illegally do so... they will be just a few!!!!
