Sometimes we're just sharing our opinion and have absolutely no intension of hurting anyone and what exactly happens? - People get all offended.

Let's take the example of forums and threads. The other day I started a topic discussing an actor's acting skills and not saying a single negative word about his physical appearance or behaviour. On the contrary, I praised his sense of humour and even wrote that I find his interviews pretty amusing and enjoy them really much. And now guess what I got to see in people's replies. They labeled me as "actor'sname-hater"and found my comment "bashing".

We don't always have to agree with each other but does that mean that we're not even allowed to voice our opinion when we're actually quite neutral about the actor? Do we always have to praise the actors only so others don't get hurt? Is not even constructive criticism allowed at all? I'm not talking about attacking the actors, I'm only talking about discussing their art that we get to see.

Now, we can say, what's constructive criticism for the one, may be bashing for the other... but don't we have limits to everything? Being madly in love with a person/star and being defensive about every little comment is pretty unnecessary and very exaggerated.

What do you guys think?

There is nothing wrong with constructive criticisms. We are allowed to talk about their acting skills since they ARE actors! Personal preferences and appearances of course should be excluded!! But I don't see anything wrong in discussing acting skills...unless really if something completely untrue is said!

Ones POV without it being offensive or abusive is good, and isn't it ones right to put ones point out there if a post ask for your POV too. 😊

Yes, of course, we have discussions to tell others our point of view, but can't we do it in the form of a healthy discussion rather than getting all offended and getting into the defensive mode?

Sorry for diverting the topic!!! I just wish to know the role of any actor/actress in your really real life!!!!!

Other day i made a post on this and I'm pasting it here:

Hi Friends!!!

Most of us like one actor or the other of Television or Films or both. What is the significance of those actors in your real life.Is there any important place in your real life for the actors you adore? Does the personal life of the actors u adore make any impact on the adoration you have on them?Does it make it any impact on your adoration if your favourite actors play cheap roles or do cheap acts as a part of their work.Let me put my views.I do adore some TV actors and Film actors.I like Ramkapoor and Apurva Agnihotri in TV industry and in Film industry I like Amitabh ,Kamal Hasan. All these people don't have much important place in my real life .I may be a hypocrite, if Ram Kapoor or Apurva drops a message or rings to me I may change my views.I got this thought when I'm seeing several people bashing Ramkapoor for doing an unethical act in Kasam Se serial as a part of his role.

With best wishes,

Mythili

i dont think there is anything wrong in posting an opinion about something...everyone has their own way of thinking about soemthing or someone...not everyone likes the same things...as long as it isnt bashing or really criticizing things about the actor personally too and being really offensive...i think its fine to post an opinion šŸ˜›
