well..I've never heard anyone around me saying the girl shouldn't fight back..rather I've heard people saying the girl should prefer death over getting raped.
It hurts to see that convict who can be hanged anytime (for murder, not rape)getting this much attention.

firstly I am not fighting to see it. neither am I putting salt in anyone's wounds. if the government has banned it then I can not do much, I can only say I am not happy with the ban, because the documentary highlights an important issue that I feel people should know about and they themselves make a judgement.

why should a girl wish death for someone else's inhumane action?

Rape is an issue.
I say it pours salt on my wounds and I am happy about the ban and no one has the right to tell me I am wrong in not wanting the documentary to be released. No rights and wrongs here.
There are better ways 'to raise awareness'.
Who is the audience to that documentary? Did you even see how the documentary was promoted? Oh yes...creating so much of awareness.

ask people with such mindset.
I am a rape survivor. And am giving my board exams now..because I want a life like others have.I am no different from others.
That statement in particular makes one feeling guilty for having survived the rape.

I agree you have the right to hold the thought that the ban is a good thing. I have no arguments there. I also have the right to say the ban is not a good thing right? Again I agree, no right and no wrong. There are definitely better ways to raise awareness of this issue. This definitely was a controversial one. It highlights rape, mentality of 'some' (I am not going to generalise here at all) men towards women, government censorship etc.

Yes. No rights or wrongs. I empathize with the sentiments of a few who want the ban.

But there could be victims too who support the release. Jyothi's parents themselves have supported the release.

There could have been better ways than ban. Rather than censorship, I feel public forums and debates are better options to address issues that one disagrees with.

I am with you. I wish you the very best and may you succeed in your future to prove these people wrong. I do not like that statement either and hence I highlighted it. Do not ever feel guilty at all.

I do see why her parents support the release(they are actually neutral about it..saw their interview on aajtak about the ban).
Our judiciary takes a toll on families of victims..even I am curious to know why are the convicts not yet hanged.

In that case censor board shouldn't exist at all.
