LOL,I guess I stirred up a real hornet's nest 😆
Yes,ABhishek has definitely come a very long way.....He surely deserves to taste success...But,is the success just too much ???He was unfairly compard to Amitabh, and my sympathies did gravitate towards Abhishek(I myself being an ardent Abhishek lover),but then,it did also make sense(I sees 1000 ande coming my way 😆😭)..When Abhishek can get a decent launch in refugee, with a "Good" director like J.P Dutta at the helm ,only because he was Amitabh's son.Actors with a non filmi background find it very much difficult borderline impossible to get a decent launch..Either they need to resort to a sleazy Bhatt film,or a film with a C grade director..Being Amitabh's son,he was launched by a decent director, and his contacts bagged him a few roles like Kuch Na Kaho(directed by Ramesh Sippy's son,who was Abhishek's friend),Bas itna sa Khwab HAi(Goldie Behl at the helm, another friend of Abhishek),and Dhoom...We say that he is unfairly compared to his dad,but the very fact that he got those many chances is because he is Amit's son...Yes,he did capitalize on those chances, and improved remarkably, but not everyone get those many chances.....With his unconventional looks,he was sailing against the wind...
He started out as a BAD actor, improvized tremendously ,picked himself up off the floor and was absolutely brilliant in Yuva 👏 ...But,he signed Yuva after Hrithik had rejected the role, and Dhoom didnt have any "STAR"...because,when Dhoom went on floors,Everyone associated with the movie were sailing in the same boat..John ABraham wasnt a STAR yet,Esha Deol had almost faded into oblivion,No one had noticed Rimi Sen,Abhishek too had a string of flops, and Uday Chopra was there because he was Yash Chopra's son....Thus Abhishek didnt get dhoom on merit of his acting prowess....
Dhoom was a hit,Yuva was critically acclaimed and Abhishek was catapulted into stardom 👏 And the rest as they say is going to be history...But,all I'm saying is,with just 2(or heck,Lets make it 3..Lets consider Bunty aur Bubli to be a masterpiece too, albeit I dont agree with it lol) exceptional performances, isnt it just too early to decide that he's our next superstar 😕 He is miles upon miles from being the next "SUPERSTAR"....
Another horrendous trait, which I observe in practically everyone is this..When someone is down and out, people write them off completely..and when someone is a tad bit successful, unhe shikhar par bita dete hai 😕 .people are always on either end of the spectrum, either everything is great,or everything is bad 😕😕 Now that really takes the biscuit
