in my opinion abhishek bachchan is over rated... i will have to admit that he can act well... but the way he is ranked in bollywood nowadays is not really logical.... u dont see him really being compared to actors amongst his own league, but hez compared to the actors who have far more experience and success on their side than him ....... abhishek who was not recognized at all before is now a recognized actor, but y create a big star out of him wen he has so much more to accomplish ..... i mean it was only two years ago wen he gave his first hit performance, and now hes being compared to actors lyk shahrukh...... i mean sum people dont lyk the comparison between amitabh and shahrukh then how can srk and abhishek be compared,which is so often seen nowadays.. and that too wen abhishek has only achieved two years of success... i can only think of one thing wen i think about this , and thats that abhishek is being over rated as an actor... being a gud actor and being an over rated actor r two seperate things.... the fact is that hes a gud actor... but the way hes considered today in bollywood is too much... he still has to accomplish more... therefore in my opinion hes an over rated actor in bollywood.

👏..Very well said Mini...You hit the nail on the head when you said that being a good actor and being an overrated actor are two completely different things....ABhishek is good,not even an iota of doubt there,but he is overrated...People have really gone gaga over ABHI(me including),but the fact is that he is very much overhyped....he deserves his success,but not the overhype and the "Agla superstar" tag...He yet has to go a long way to be called that

frankly speaking, no one can ever predict who CAN and CANNOt make it to the industry. The most 'written offs' make it the biggest.

Those who met SRK in his early days, they were like ' he is so small and ordinary'.......by his own admission even his heroines laughed at him.....yet he became king Khan. Amitabh's rejections are what folklores are made of. He even got rejected on ALL India Radio because of his voice !!!!

If they had super dads, maybe we would have been saying the same about them too,that on their own they would never have made it.

I personally beleive all this talk of 'connection making a star successful' a truck load of crap. Kajol is everything a normal heroine would never be, she never had the conventional looks, or figure......but look at her today. Is that because of Tanuja? And look at tanisha. Amir is, well Amir, and his own brother, inspite of being better looking and taller, is a miserable failure. What role does their filmy background play here? Randheer hardly made any difference in the cinema inspite of having Raj kapoor as a launch and a support vehicle, Rishi Kapoor made it moderately big, yet Rajeev never took off,inspite of a Ram teri Ganga maili. So what proof does anyone of us have that it's connection which makes them? If so, then Tanisha, Afzal, Arbaaz, Pururajkumar - all would have been as successful as their parents or siblings.

Connections can get a few chances, but success and popularity - only talent, an ability to reach out to the audience and hard work does. And of course, lady luck !!

Why just Abhishek Bachchan? Why not Amitabh Bachchan? I think AB sr. is over-rated too. Most of his hit movies were all chor-police or separated at birth kinds. The good ones were directed by Hrishikesh Mukherjee or Prakash Mehra so according to the logic which applies to Abhishek Bachchan's hits like Dhoom and Yuva, we can say that those movies were hit because of great directors and not to forget Ajooba, Toofan, Jadoogar. His first hit came after 11 flops.

Star kids find an easy way to enter Bollywood but the ones who have real talent and ability can only make it further. We have Bobby Deol, Arbaaz Khan, Sohail Khan, Tanisha, Twinkle and Rinki Khannas too in the industry. Kajol's mom was considered a mediocre actress of her time and Nutan was a great actress but her son Mohnish Behl couldn't make it big.

So come on Abhishek Bachchan does deserve some credit!!!!😊

I dont understand y ru ppl making such a big issue out of it.. Abhsishek survived coz of his own talent.. HAving a popular father can jus give u a first break.. But getting good movies by good director is given on an actors capability.. So its just easy to comment that after doing 25 movies even a donkey can act.. If that is the case then instead of actors we should try donkeys only... Maybe donkeys could entertain u better. 😉

Wow this donkey issue has been streached like a chewing gum! 😆 I just said it in a casual way and u guyz r coming after me like a bull comes after seeing red.. 😆 Now please excuse my comments they do involve a lot of animals in them.. Maybe I am an animal lover. 😕 I am a vegetarian so that counts...😳
