Is Abhishek Bachchan overrated??

Now we had a discussion as to whether Rani's overrated or not...But isnt Abhishek too a bit overrated❓😉

Abhishek delivered sterling performances in Yuva and Sarrkar👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

1)But with just two "exceptional" performances,how fair is it that he's touted to be the next superstar😕??

He wasnt all that splendid in movies like Dhoom(where he hardly did any acting😛...The bikes,music and John Abraham lured people into the marquee😉)Dus,Bluffmaster,Bunty Babli(infact everything about this movie is hyperbolized😕..the music,Rani's acting,Abhishek's acting,script..you name it,and its overhyped😕)....He was nonpareil in KANK,but in a movie rife with half baked characters and shameless loosers,he was peachy😊(If you know what I mean😉)....He didnt stand out in a movie like RDB,which was full of powerhouse performances(even Atul Kulkarni)

So my questions are...2)IS Abhishek overrated...🤔....Barring Sarrkar and Yuva,he hasnt been superlative in any other movie.....😊...3)SO is ABhishek worth all the hype and hoopla,or is he overrated😛

Sheen,right here right now was choreographed by Farah Khan,the ace choreographer....and Some Crappy choreographer choreographed Hiten and Gauri....SO,you cant compare 😛

and in dhoom,All that ABhi had to do was Keep a check on Uday,romance Rimi Sen in like 1 song,then brood,cogitate and cogitate more,.....Sorry,I couldnt see any great acting in Dhoom....Abhishek did just as much as John did 😃 ..The ensemble piece in totality was good,refreshing and a welcome departure from the usual masala crass,thus it worked!

Shiney Ahuja was splendid in Hazaaron Khwaaishein Aisi,Irrfan Khan is a brilliant actor(watch him in Maqbool)

Abhishek got so many chances(17 if I'm not wrong),and that's thanks to his lineage.....Abhi was pathetic in movies like BAs Itna sa khwab hai(he was paired with Rani,and all the Abhi-Rani fans need to watch this movie to see how terrible the chemistry of the "hottest pair" was 😕 )...I'm not refuting that he was terrific in Yuva and in Sarrkar,but Bluffmaster and Bunty Babli were plain run of the mill movies,Dus offered him no scope to portray his histrionics,and KANK ....The adage in the country of the blind,the one eyed man is the king holds good!(or analogous to it)

Abhi was lucky to have Aditya chopra produce movies,and It was that time when Hrithik was rejecting scripts left right and centre,and all those which Hrithik rejected went to Abhi(Bunty & Babli,Yuva,DHoom etc)..Abhi himself has said that "Beggars cant choose,and that he cannot choose"...Now abhi's stars were great,that all these movies went on to become blockbusters

Being an ardent Hrithik fan it sometimes frustrates me when every1 says abhi is 'the next big thing' blah blah.....honestly, where has he given a performance lik hrithik did in KMG?

I love abhi...i think he's very good looking, has amazing comic timing, looks fab with rani especially....but i think it's a bit too early to claim him to be the NEXT BIG superstar!

And u want a real check on popularity...I dont think abhi is tht popular abroad...where I live, there were 3 ppl in the theatre who came to watch bluffmaster...!

Shiney is just 2 films old,when abhishek can get 17 chances,its unfair to write shiney off after two films(both being highly critically acclaimed at that)...I'm no shiney fan,but He has the potential😊

and Irrfan was terrible in killer and chocolate,so was abhishek in movies like Naach,MPKDH,shararat etc..So every actor has his share of good anf bad movies😛

PS..Would you believe it sheena😕....Abhishek was wearing a hairband(or what are those plastic bands called lol)😕..He was talking about Umrao Jaan,and was wearing the band girls wear on their heads to keep the hair in place😕..Offlate,his immaculate dressing sense seems to have receeded to the background,with Abhi currently donning hideous clothes coupled with a terrible hair style and that hair band😕

Umm...I don't think he is overrated. I really don't think he is given that much of an importance anyways.. he is just seen mostly as Jr. Bachchan. 😕 which i think is not fair to him...I think he is good and he is just rated fair.

And how many HITS has ABhishek had outside the YAsh Chopra/Mani Ratnam/RGV banner....Naught! 😛

Yuva wasnt a hit,but Abhishek garnered rave reviews.... 👏 ..Mani Ratnam Banner

Dhoom was a hit,and the credit completely goes to the producer and not to any particular actor

Bunty aur Babli...Again,YRF banner,and the ABhishek Rani casting lured people,as many had fallen in love with A-R in Yuva

Sarkarr...Father Son in one movie,who wouldnt want to watch it..And RGV at the helm,and RGV can make good movies once in a while

KANK....Bad movie,the pre release hype saw to it that the movie recovers its money,and it wasnt an ABhishek movie.... 😊

Dus...Mediocre movie,wafer thin cliched storyline,surprisingly clicked..

Yes,so how many movies of ABhishek have been hits outside the A list banners..... 😛

Infact Abhishek himself confesses that he's grateful to God becos he has friends(read A grade producers and directors),who would cast him in their movies😛

I am not refuting that ABhishek has come a long way ,and has improved manifold👏...He's a very good actor,much better than the likes of Shahid Kapoor and Jonh Abraham.....But he yet hasnt been convincing enough to be called the next superstar😊
