IMO finishing is not that much of a problem. Jadeja and the tail finish well. Innings building is a problem. We lose the game between overs 15-40. We lose too many wickets before over 35, so we have to play cautiously till the end. It would be good to have GG back on the team.

DK is better at T20, not ODI or test. We should look at someone like CM Gautam who has been prolific in the domestic season and Ranji to eventually replace Dhoni.

Also we need a full time attacking spinner and solid 3-4 seamers for bouncy tracks.

A sincere request to Vinzy. I would really appreciate it if you would post large images, jokes etc and such things in the Tidbits, trivia thread and leave the blah blah thread just for chatting.

I block most images, signatures, banners and ads during browsing. I avoid AT's and many threads where images are posted. I'd rather not have to scroll through layers of images when I post. It is merely a personal preference. You are under no obligation to comply to my preference. But since there is another thread more appropriate for these posts, I thought I would make a request.

As a teenager I super major crushed on Afridi. He was good looking. He had the Boom Boom power. He wasn't as asinine back then. It was easy to be a fan. But over time I don't know what happened to him. He started making all the asinine comments about India. Personality doesn't change talent, but its been hard to like him as much as I once used to. Loved the joke made in Total Siyapa. Btw, I totally love love love Ali Zafar. Respect for Misbah though. He's a very mild mannered sporting person. A bit too defensive IMO, but passionate for the game and team.

Both Misbah and Afridi are too old and need to retire soon. Sri Lanka faces the same issue with over reliance on Sanga and Jaya. Despite our recent string of losses, India's advantage is a young team. Barring Dhoni everyone has a good 4-5 years at least. Once we get a reliable wicketkeeper batsmen, we should be off to team building. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have had so many issues, rebuilding after their seniors go will be harrowing.
