Many muslims bow and touch the feet of their parents and elders. In SRGMP Li'l Champs there is a contestant Sameer Mohammed and he touches Judges' (Bappi da, Alka, Abhijit) feet many times. If the clerics start interpreting everything according to religion, I am afraid the situation could turn explosive later on. Why is our *secular* media so silent now, everyone (in media) is saying that we shouldn't force anyone to sing it BUT to say that we WON'T sing it under any circumstances for whatever reason amounts to insulting our National Song. It unfortunately shows that for them their religious identity is more important than National Identity.

yea, i've seen sameer do that too but his culture is Indian and in Indian culture they do that, i think it's nice that he touches elder's feet, it's very respectful but in Islam you can't bow your head to anyone except Allah.

the people that are saying they don't want to sing the vande mataram are just a few people, i bet the rest of the indian muslims don't care that much.

OK. But it is not as if Islam is followed in same manner everywhere. Even in muslim countries, culture and customs differ. What is your view on muslim actors like SRK/Salman/Aamir playing Hindu characters in Hindi movies, they are shown going to temples and praying there. I saw in news few days back that Ganapati Puja was performed in Salman's house.

What you said is contradictory.(the bold portions). Vande Mataram is INDIA's National Song for Indians. And if we follow the first statement then an Indian, irrespective of his religon should follow it...........if he can touch his elders feet, he can bow to the Nation.
Second says since its against Islam he shouldn't.

And yes you are right most Indians don't care too much , irrespective of their faith. Its only the religous clerics.

i cant read all ur talking in thread cuz this thread is too long to read and i cant read 😆 but i wanna share my views with u when pakistan and india appeared in the map of south asia then it had decided that its depend upon wish of hindu and muslim to live in pakistan or india ppl went to the india in pakistan according to their desire but yet most muslims have been living in india since 1947 muslims of india should be keep in mind that india is not muslim country(ager india main rehtay huee vande mataram nain parna too konsa national song parna hai yeah too pehlay soochna chahyea tha!!!ager app(muslims of india)loog america ya britain main rehtay ko kia wahan ka national song parnay say inkaar ker daitay???? ager india ko apna watan mantay ho too wahan kay asooloo kay mutabiq rehna hoga yeah sirf india ki baat nahin poori dunia main aisa hona chahyea)
im muslim and pakistan and according to my thinking i will prefer religion than country but rule is rule Rule should apply on every ppl of a country irrespective of he/she/whatever is muslim,hindu,christian,sikh ect....

Miss Saba.... i respect your words...abt vande matram.... but sense of point is why to make it compulsory... those who want to recite they can those who dont want to there wish... it should not be mandatory....

regarding your second point..... as u asked kya faraq pardta hai??? think twice before u post.... every one has ther own religion ...thats fine we should not point against any..... but...... faraq pardta hai.....
