You need a checklist to make any choice .. definitely you need to make a choice, you can't have everything in life. You make so many choices every single day .. what to eat, what to wear, who to talk to, where to go, what to buy, what to do. Ok, that said.. coming to the topic, which I am assuming you are talking about classifying people based on beauty or brains, though you lost me when you talked about marketing as well. So I will talk about both.

First, what you said about guys who choose dumb and gorgeous girls. Well if there are guys like that, why do you want to be with them? Some guys prefer girls as trophies.. again think what they might do when one day you are hormonal or depressed and look your worst?! Some guys choose dumb girls.. 'coz they boost their ego. Not every guy can handle a smart and intelligent woman.. 'coz they might make them look dumb! If you end up with a partner who is insecure, you will never be happy!

Btw, are guys the only ones who choose dumb pretty ones..? Haven't you heard of women and their boytoys? 😆

Personally, I think I would choose intelligence over looks any day! Looks fade, but intelligence stays, at least for a normal person. Have you noticed, when you really love someone, they look really beautiful to you.. and the moment they start annoying you, they start looking not so good anymore!

Now with regards to marketing. Beauty sells.. yes.. except now we have tools to determine whether an image has been photoshopped or not 😆 That way you don't have to feel bad when you see size zero figures in those magazines! Actually its not just women who are affected by this branding. Even guys want to look good .. isn't that why you have men's beauty products everywhere and you see all of them huffing and puffing lifting weights in the gym!

I would say that article is not a good one.. 'coz they says guys play a major role in making girls want to look pretty. It's sad, true, that some girls make it their life's mission to attract guys. Maybe girls want to look pretty for themselves, want to be slim, fit and healthy for themselves. I think loving yourself is the only way you can be happy. if you don't love and accept yourself you will never be happy, even if a guy thinks you are perfect.

Just because women are overweight or not gorgeous doesn't mean they don't have a life! I would say for anyone who is upset after seeing guys choose girls based on beauty, watch Mahi Way! Such a phenomenal show!!!!

I would say brains are a must: being dumb is highly unattractive and isn't a prize.

Being attractive helps - no deny. A person's attractiveness increases as people get to know them; having intelligence, a sense of humour etc all build on that first impression.

Being beautiful is great for first impressions, but one can start to look unattractive if it isn't substantiated by anything.

I know many who are dumb & ugly.

In general, intelligent and dumb people usually give away their intelligence or dumbness pretty early.

Brains, it is, my dear Sir. A possessor of smartness and confidence exerts charm which would show on their face even if they aren't one of the best lookers around.
