The Indians thought hey misogyny's missing racism, lets add that to the mix. Let's introduce a fairness inducing douche. For of course, the gora-complex never gets old eh. Now the Indian woman also needs a fair and lovely pudenda to classify as a babe. Joy! The author humored the whole situation, the writing maybe a little on the coarse and profane end, but the point is bang on. I thought you'd all have a good laugh over how absurd the whole thing is, since most of you seem to enjoy questioning patriarchy as much as I do.

W*F. LOL. Just when i thought the humankind couldn't get anymore moronic they go out and produce products which apparently will make us females shine like Edward Cullen. I fail to understand as to why the desi nation is obsessed with fair skin. The gora's become all potty and sunbathe for hours in order to get a tan, and here these fools go all gaga over snow white. The whole thing is preposterous and makes individuals with the fairness craziness come across as very shallow and insecure. Some of the comments in response to the article are hilarious - apparently people undergo anal bleaching as well? I wasn't aware that such things existed. lol. So why aren't there skin lightening products for men out there? Don't they need something to tone down the color of their genitals? I mean you never know there might be girls out there who get turned on by light sabers. On a serious note why are all fairness products targeted at women?

The best thing about the article was the authors sarcastic remarks. Coudn't help but laugh out load😆

Out of curiosity...I wonder if the person behind the production of this cream is a male or a female 🤔.

This is so messed up on so many levels. I didn't know such things existed until today, and anal bleaching too?! W*F. You can't even see your asshole...and though others can, why they hell would you even want to have sex with someone who cares what colour it is?

At the end of the say, we're never happy with what we have. Those who are dark die to be fair; those who are fair spend hours tanning themselves. Sadly discrimination over the colour of skin still happens, though unusually especially in oriental nations...my own grandmother wouldn't accept my sister-in-law because she's much darker than us. It's pathetic and sick. But it's mostly old aunties and grandmas who really give a crap about skin tone.

Amidst a couple minority, the human race is messed up so what can you expect. Anal bleaching gave me a shock i have to say - talk about how mentally retarded some people are out there. It's a different case if your anal is there for show 😆 but yeah do people choose sex partners depending on how fair ones anal is? *bangs head against the wall* They'd probably like a monkeys ass then, that's should be pretty enough to turn them on ^-^

Your right. A person is never happy with what they have, they are always longing for perfection, but it's our imperfect nature which makes us humans. I witness discrimination over colour of skin very frequently - and yes the scenarios have mostly been with aunties and the elder folks who have nothing better to do but compare who's daughter is pretty and who's is not. Their daily gossip. Very petty.

During the process of marriage fixation i have seen many people taking in the skin colour of the girl before looking at any other characteristics. It's shallow and very disturbing.

All in all, what surprises me most is someone (be it a man or a woman) had the frigging balls to make an advertisement on this? I wonder what they've been smokin'. What's more surprising? that people in India entertain this kinda bull! Seriously? I am not sure if women in India are actually tolerable of this or just plain ignorant. Or maybe they don't even care as 'fair and lovely' cream has become such a norm in India that adding a fairness cream to bleach the vulva might just not hurt.

Clean & Dry manufacturer Midas Care says the product is more about keeping the vagina clean than fair. "Skin in private areas, just like elbows and knees, can be a little darker than the regular body shade for some," a company spokesperson emailed India Today. It further said that the advertisement does not show the female getting rejected and that the product has been received positively and a lot of women have thanked the company for "catering to their most intimate needs".

Is it weird that I knew about this kind of bleaching since many years? Albeit it was shocking even back then. Can't seem to understand the need for such process. Another thing to make us women more insecure about ourselves...

Women of 21st Century...you can't be loved for who you are. You need to change everything about yourselves. What is brown has to become white and what is white has to become brown, what is small has to become big and what is big has to become small, what there is too much of has to disappear and what is disappearing there has to be more of.
