Why would a guy be put into juvenile detention for chatting with a girl over the phone and that too when the girl also reciprocates? Of course we can't say for sure at this moment as there are several pieces of information missing. Age of the guy, is it the same guy with whom she chats and who allegedly harasses her by calling, does she get stalked by the same guy everyday, is the guy threatening verbally or trying to non-verbally intimidate her, etc. etc.

I am talking of the above scenario in case of stalking...like tannisha said that her cousin is being stalked...not for conversations on phone...unless they are having the damn phone sex...like I said the courts do not decide cases based on a formula...each case is decided on its merit..

HI blue -ice and souro, thanks for your discussion.
The case with my cousin is a little convoluted i can say, and it doesn't help that she is very secretive and brooding.
about the snatching, she was coming back from tution in auto and some guys stopped the auto and tried to pull her hand. the autodriver was a good guy and he drove straight ahead and the umbrella was lost in the process.
She has been followed a lot but this was extreme.
She is always on phone, no idea, with whom she is on phone, she is from a co-ed school and probably her classmates , girls and boys from school.
she is 17 now. She suffered a huge mental depression when she was 15, had to be taken phsychiatrist. There she openly stated she hates everyone naming each of them and why. She doesnt talk my mother or my sister willingly either, calls them hitler who are always after her to study. She had attention problem in school, fainted once during exam.
She might be or might not be at fault , but we sure are worried about her.
If only she would talk to any one. Seems she prefers to keep to herself, it can be dangerous and she is just a teenager.

My sympathies to all who suffered from serious issues. It is unfortunate however important thing is they came out of it without any sort of damage. I hope that people who do such things are punished and made an example.
