To pacify those who are protesting against the reservations, the Government has now decided to increase the number of seats in Higher educational institutions. But is that going to provide a solution to the problem?

I personally feel it wont as the institutes are facing a shortage of staff, and with increase in the number of students, most of them not upto the mark, the institutes wil not be able to retain their standards and due to that, even the deserving students will suffer.

Please comment and correct me if i am wrong.

Increassing seats an answer?? definitely not! Scholarships are the ONLY answer. Another thing where the heck are they are they going to find people to fill these reserved seats which are already not being filled as in India most people are not evern getting a decent primary education! Since the govt has failed miserably to provide a decent quality education to each child...why not hike the quota in IITs and IIMs ....it would be laughable if it werent so pathetic.
why does the govt not provide English medium education in Govt schools to bring kids from underprivilaged homes up to par with teh others??? This is nothing but a facile exercise in Cosmetic surgery!
