"There is a married woman and her husband works long nights and doesn't return until the early morning. When her husband is away, the wife gets dressed up and goes to an island where she has affairs with random men. When these men get too close to her, like if they want to take their affair to the next level, she purposely gets in fights with them. Then she takes the ferry back home before her husband arrives. She's also really drunk.

So one night she does her usual routine. She goes to the island, has sex with a guy and then acts like a jerk so they can break up. As she is on her way back to the ferry she realizes she doesn't have enough money to get back home. She needs to get home soon before her husband comes back. She asks the ferry captain to let her go on for free. She promises the next time she comes she'll pay double the fare. But the ferry captain tells her no.

The wife goes back to the guy she just broke up with. She's really desperate. But of course they just got in a fight and he refuses to give her any money. She goes to a guy she was with last week, but he is still pretty pissed off and he won't give her any money either.

She really has no option other than to walk home over the bridge. It's really dark at night and she doesn't want to walk home alone. But she takes the chance'and she is raped and killed by a group of thugs.

Who's to blame for the wife being raped?

-the husband
-the wife
-the ferry captain
-ex number one
-ex number two
-the thugs"

thanx for the article

Let me quote this from TheDilettante's link...I agree with the point that...90% rapes are planned!!
quote from that article:-
"Approximately 2/3 of rapes were committed by someone known to the victim.

73% of sexual assaults were perpetrated by a non-stranger.
38% of rapists are a friend or acquaintance.
28% are an intimate.
7% are a relative."

blaming the girl for being scantily dressed and hence provoking is as sickening as the phrase 'if you cannot avoid it, enjoy it' 🤢. It should be like the movie where dimple kapadia , a doctor, lures the rapists and castarates them. a fitting and irreparable punishment.

Miss Blue-Ice
My involving the rape of the Syrian women and familial rape absolutely made sense in reference to the opening post. Rape is a result when a man is not able to control his sexual urge...it has nothing to do with a short skirt or a burqa or being careful...Mr. King...and even if it does not make sense to you...consider it as a spin off discussion of the main topic...this is DM and spin offs from the main topic have always been discussed and will be discussed...
This topic, again, is not about rape in general. Let me attempt the 5th time
"So ii was wondering '.is it really good after rape blaming a girl for that her short skirts instigated rapist to rape her '..is it fair ???? "
Here we are debating whether someone who is dressed in a certain way or behaves in a certain manner is to be blamed for rape. I said no. What I said was that the blame for being negligent/irresponsible does go on her in this kind of rape situation. Nothing that has been said here convinced me otherwise
Lets say in a hypothetical situation...a girl in a short skirt is confronted by 10 different men at 1 PM at night...do you think that all 10 men will rape her...or some will let her go...with the kind of men that are in my life I can say that not every man wiould turn out to be a rapist...because some men know how to control them selves...
1 pm at night? lol nevermind at 1 pm in US is night in India. It does not even matter if 10 men wont rape her. It matters that 1 might.
Of course like I said earlier also that the importance of dressing well, being careful and behaving in a well mannered way is never undermined...they are of utmost importance ...but if some girls choose not to do that...doesn't mean that if they get raped they share the blame...the blame of a rape is totally on the rapist...
The number of shares in 100 percent = 1. I never used the word share
My statement that i said about a girl running naked...I didn't say she SHOULD not be raped...I said that no one has the RIGHT to rape her...get the difference?
Yes I get that. I also get that this is iirrelevant to my post
Actually I think its very degrading to men in general when people put the blame on the victim because of the dress she was wearing...what do u mean ...that all the men are like that...they will rape a girl if they see her half naked...NO..thats not true...some will not...and that is why the blame lies with the rapist...If some can control themselves than why can't the others do the same..
It requires one to ruin a life not all. Sure they should control but that does not mean all would be able to and hence the caution.
And thankyou Mr. King for comparing the dignity of a woman with a freaking BMW...
Do not insult my intelligence or intelligence of others. I never compared dignity/honor etc. of women to anything. I did use BMW as an example to indicate an irresponsible behavior. This does not mean BMW=women, Rickshaw=Men though I know many here wont mind this. lol
Are u seriously accusing us of gender discrimination ???🤣
This is DM ...not a saas bahu forum for God's sake😆😆
Actually I am glad that for once women are not fighting like saas bahu lol. My point was that in topics related to women "birds of same feather flock together" lol. oops..i compared girls to birds lol. And today lets be clear on this.
No man, woman, hero, heroine, shahrukh, shahid, car, aeroplane, cake, wind, atom, nuclear bomb, lion, kharbooza, tarbooz, award, degree, dancer, hot bod, rr romance, beautiful girl, virtual, non virtual, money, nationality, eyes, dance move, apsara, munni, chikni, challo, planet venus, milky way, universe i.e. no entity, in my entire life so far, has ever made me insecure and hence i dont accuse or complain. i point out
Summer3
King ji does not really know.
He is very respectful and proper.

both you and xoxo are good human beings. i am a cunning fox lol.
Miss RTH
I'd like to see King Anu advice Ultimate on chastity and dignified female behavior. Just for popcorn sake. 😆

Actually to think of it, their forum "ship" would be awesome "TheUltimateKingAnu"

Sorry King and Ultimate. I'm in a silly mood today.

no need to be sorry. those who know me have used similar adjectives for me before.
Misss Taco

I disagree with everything you said, but what really got to me was that 'Miss' prefix before all our names. I acknowledge that you have your set of views, the BMW and other comparisons notwithstanding (me, I personally prefer Bentleys), but for some reason I pictured you cowering while you were typing that.
Interesting. If you are saying this then maybe I did not explain my point well. I will not discuss it further since if I cannot explain a thing 5 times then it means I should move on. lol. My limit is usually 3 attempts.
I have limits when it comes to English. I had to check meaning of cowering lol. Let me say I disagree with your picture lol

Que pasa? I dunno about the others, but I don't bite... not all the time anyway 😆 So to cut my crap short, you can just call me taco or what have you. And no, I didn't 'like' most of the posts here because they were made by girls, I did so because I agreed with them. Anyhoo, I'll make an exception and... *likes your post* 😊

Thanks for being kind. I am not someone who will tell you "oh is there a hall of fame here?" and then in another tab check ok what is the score today. Of course I like likes. However in this case i wondered whether i said anything wrong.

In keeping with the gender confusion mood, I don't get why TheUltimate is being mistaken for a lass. I've always been bang on when it comes to determining a poster's sex. On a tangent, I'm also bang on when it comes to identifying attention wh**es. You know, the cymbal banging monkey toys who behave like they're on a Prozac-Adderall binge.

*scoots*

hahaha...well i lack here. time sorts things out.

Conclusion
A website was quoted here and irony is that website advices caution, preventive measures to reduce the risk of rape. It does not talk in extreme sense that some have here. It does see things in terms of risk
"While you can never completely protect yourself from sexual assault, there are some things you can do to help reduce your risk of being assaulted."
That was my message as well. If we dont exercise caution then in some manner we are to be blamed as well. Sure not for rape but for not being careful. This is applicable to everyone and in all crimes. However since the crime is so abhorrent and wrong the girls are sensitive and not willing to even entertain what I said. That is perfectly okay with me and I understand that. Time to move on lol.

Who says it didn't...the virginity topic has inspired me to write 'Kamsutra Pt 2😆...Mr. King...when life gives you lemons, make lemonade😆😆...I have a teenager and an almost teenager at home...so i do enough of policing at home...here we have mods to take care of that...if I don't like something I report it to the mods...and get out of there😉

koi ummed bar naheen aati,
koi soorat nazar nahi aatti,
maut ka ek din muayyan hai
neend kyun raat bhar nahi aati
Basically it means "I dont know why am i still replying" lol.
I never did any "policing". It is common sense that underage people visit this forum and I dont know about others but the thought of underage kids reading sexual histories of people, those definitions, the details, double meaning dialogues etc disgusts me.
The problem, Miss Blue-Ice, is that we have taken this expression, freedom, liberation thing to our head and have not paid attention to the responsibility part that comes with it. West came to this conclusion after a long process. We on the other hand have not developed as a whole (lack education etc) and are then fed these values. The result is confused group/society which does not exercise responsibility. On one hand you see munnis, chiknis, sheilas and sexy sams roaming around and then you have people who talk about paramparas lol. I only ask for a balance. By nature I dont like extremes and I would be the last one doing policing.
Considering you have teenage grand kids/ kids/ siblings (sorry you didnt tell), you should be writing saaf sutra not kamasutra. lol. Anywya I think we have deviated from the topic.

Seriously Mr. King?? seriously?? are u going to teach me now about parenting too??
Listen you are intelligent enough...or appear intelligent enough from ur posts ...to understand that writing KS Pt. 2 was a sarcastic comment...I think everyone got that...You and I basically said the same thing on the freaking virginity thread...i said mine with a little humor and sarcasm ...and u were straightforward...the intention was the same...that the thread was becoming too graphic...i have been long enough here to know...that moral policing is not taken very kindly by the members here...but I also know that the mods do listen and understand...so its better to inform them when u have a problem...
@ red...And I don't know what paramparas u r talking about...i don't believe in most of the desi paramparas as most of them are based on the notion that women are somehow lesser mortal than men, they are door mats and have no right...whatsoever...I just want to say one thing...that its very easy to blame all the bad things that happen in our society on the West...but people do not realise that the West is as much conservative as we are...they condemn the same things that we do...the mothers in the west are as much scared of their teenage daughter getting pregnant or their kids watching po*n as an indian mother...but we r desi people...we will take the credit for every good thing that happens in our country and blame the bad ones on the West...I know u r not blaming the west or anything but many do...so just because u are talking about paramparas and all...i thought i'll mention this also...
BTW...nice sher...aapka hai??

Lets end it right here as I believe we are going nowhere.

@ me teaching you how to be a parent, I will say that

king kare to saala us ka dimagh dheela hai
Yes I know that was a sarcastic comment and so was mine.
And no that was not my shayr (above is lol). It was nice talking to you Miss Blue...

i'd love to throw my two cents here.. sorry for any mistakes, disagreement.. :)

the one sentence i believe in is - prevention is always better than cure.. ofcourse, having said that, it doesn't mean that if im preventing myself from a certain disease/circumstances, im not prone to it..

rape is an unfortunate incidence.. the men are to be blamed.. ofcourse.. whether the girl was scantily clad, or covered in a burqa, of course, a rapist is a rapist, period..

but, prevention certainly helps, doesn't it? on a beach, no one gets raped, though everyone is in their bare minimum, because, there are loads of people with same dressing sense.. now if u go on a beach in a burqa, surely, people will eye u n u'l say, people look at me with suspicion.. of course they would!

it's like one should dress according to the occasion.. if it's a beach, u'l wear a bikini- no doubts about it.. but when ur in a family function, or a market, why wear something that's offensive and grabs a few eyeballs? typically in india, im saying - i see people in market with all sorts of revealing dresses in public places.. now, if i may ask, why? can't u be dressed as everyone else? typically in summers we get the answer - it's too hot in here.. arre? isn't it hot for everybody else? people pass a few comments, n then people are like - jee zamana kharab hai.. ok, hoga zamana kharab, we'l blame those who passed nasty remarks.. but then, u have to look at urself as well na..

by saying this, im not at all defending this horrendous crime 'rape', but still, one must ensure his safety on his own..

it's like sitting in a plane - u have tied ur seatbelts, but it's not ur fault if the plane crashes.. but then, that seatbelt surely saves u from most of the mishaps most of the times.. :)

no offence.. :)
