Well said and succinct..😊

After the nuptial ceremony and sumptuous reception, the highlight of any wedding is Bidaai of the bride. A girl is led to believe since early childhood that her prince charming will take her away to live a new life with new family. Ghar jamaai scenario would definetly crush all the dreams a girl has ever had especially if the man is financially dependent on his wife. That's why they say a girl should not marry "down" .😊

but sometimes the situation requires a ghar jamaii. ghar jamaii......someone who lives with the in-laws right?

well i've known of several men who've gone to live at his in-laws place in india.....to live in their village simply b/c his in-laws had no sons. so they needed someone to take care of the parents and everything else (property included).

sure some men were greedy and went for the land but others were genuinely there to take care of his wife's parents....thats not so wrong now is it?

See some times we have to trust people .. we can't judge like that in each and every case .. yes I agree there are chances.. but I see several real children who simply care about the property of their own parents rather than taking their good care they deserve😊

true enough.....being ghar jamaii is not necessarily a bad thing. if the jamaii raja is working and contributing to the household....then whats the problem?

As long as the ghar-jamai acts like any other jamai while earning his own bread and not sitting home with a devil's workshop, there is nothing wrong in it. IMO ghar jamais are only looked down upon only when they are weaklings and don't do their own stuff. If a millionaire lives with his in-laws, no one is going to judge him but they will understand that the girl's parents were alone and hence the decision. But if it some guy living off from the parents' income, they deserve to be ridiculed.
