I don't know if fate exists or not.

Life is so random.

It is the tendency of a human mind to find patterns in everything. Therefore, humans have invented the concept of fate so that s/he can escape the randomness of life and fight the dissonant feelings of bad decisions and bad results. So, if you encounter a pattern, a series of bad events in your life, you are more likely to blame fate rather than your decisions.

So, may be there is no fate, but I would like to believe that it exists because it makes my life easier.

God decides your destiny. God knows what will happen in your life beforehand (at least thats what we believe) and He can do whatever He wants with it. So I believe in fate, if i'm getting this stuff right over here

hey i definetly agree that majority of the time it is us who decides are destiny..i mean i can put it like this 80% is in our hands and the rest is the guiding force ...well i dont kno what it is but probably there is something that is prewritten and fate can to an extent decide what we are meant to do and be...but i definetly wud like to believe that one good deed begets another..i mean im still looking for conclusive evidence on that but like ive often heard god works in strange ways...and very often it is seen that bad things happen to good ppl..but i feel certain that they are happening for a reason...and i strongly belive that NOTHING happens without a reason

I feel that everything is pre-planned for us before we get here on this earth. All we do is use our judgement to go forth or not. So if we think its good we go ahead with all the mighty power we have but even in that case when we fail we cry over it and say kya yahi meri kismat meh thi. And then we try to define lots of courses for it. We are destine in advance to our destiny

i believe whatever god wants to happen, it happens, i dont know bout fate/destiny, i just know whatever happens, there is a reason behind it 😳

I always feel dis thing....! i always ponder on it....dat is true all??.....well...guyz...da thing is ...we normally hear ppl saying Fate is all decided........!Fate.-----Which sum ppl call "Taqdeer"..in Urdu....!! we believe dat Fate is all decided by God.......! wen we born....Our fate was all written by God already...! It can;'t b chngd..........! wateva has been written by God up there,before we came into dis world,is..decisive...! It cannot b changed in dis World........! wateva has been written by God ,it Will happen 4 sure.......! whatever is in our Fate...,we will get it 4 sure..! -----we all believe in dis na? ..ok mayb not 100% of us...but still...mayb 75 or 80% ppl believe dis fact???

....On da other hand......I have seen and heard manny ppl saying...Dat One's Fate can b changed by Prayers.........ofcrse 2 God....! ppl pray....and kind of believe in dis thing dat they r praying 2 God..,they willl surely Get da thing dey want........! they firmly believe in dis fact of chnging one's Fate by prayers...........! It is right 2 sum xtent....! we 101% believe dat God listenz to our prayers.....we,the Muslimz firmly believe .....n also God has says in The Holy Quran(Holy Book Of Muslims ),that Seek from me......i'l give u....! He says dat while u pray ,firmly believe dat God is listening 2 us..He will surely give us wat we want from Him-----and we ,do get what we prayed for 2 God.......!-----------The question that arises in my Mind is dat....wen we pray..we get it....! so can we make out dis dat wat we got from prayers 2 God...was already written in our Fate.?????..if we dont pray..we may not get it.... does dis mean dat it wasn;t written in our fate??

Let me clear you .Fate is already written by God for everyone.But praying to God depends upon person to person,it has no effect with fate.
A person loved a lot by God can betray him due to Devil's attraction.It is up to him pray or not pray.
I will give an example in Bible.
Judas who betrayed Jesus.It was his fate to betray him.But God forgived him .But Judas never prayed God to forgive him.Instead he commited suicide.He could have survived if he prayed him to forgive.
That;s the difference prayer makes

Dear Kavita;

Your point is well taken, though this question is not directed towards me, I would like to humbly submit that fate is indeed sealed at the point when you come into this world, but prayers do help, let us take a circumstance, when someone had a failure or something bad happened and you leave it your destiny, now how does prayer help.

When we pray the mind is with god and we loose connection to the bad thing which had happened, when you mind is at peace you only think positive and proactively, you do not react negatively to the thing that had happened to you, for many times we augment and compound our miseries by reacting to a bad situation, this is where prayer helps it helps you from reacting and thereby restrict your miseries.

……..And I believe in this philosophy.
