I think some are not karmaic but "accidents". some who died could be karmic and some due to misfortune and wrong decisions, eg. by taking unnecessary risks we are more likely to get injured or suffer and the choice is ours to make.

Or maybe, I've gone cra-cra.

I think therefore I exist. I, however, do not know if you exist too. I do not know if the world around me exists either. A person suffering from hallucination feels his "imagination" (according to us) is real. We feel he is imagining stuffs while he feels it is real. For him, his "imaginary" (to us) world is as real as our "real" world is to us. It could be that I am hallucinating, or dreaming (a long, long one), and everything I consider real is the product of my imagination and nothing else. We each can only be sure about our own existences, not anyone else's, or so I believe.

If the whole world was hallucinating (keep it in mind that hallucination does not only involve seeing things), and saw / felt a fairy dancing in front of them - would it have made the dancing fairy "real" or an illusion of the human race? If the whole world becomes color blind and starts seeing red as blue and blue as red (what is red and what is blue, actually?) - will that really make red turn into blue and blue turn into red?

What is 'reality' but our own perception of it by our five senses? What if our five senses are deceiving us and not letting us decipher reality as it truly is? What if reality is more than what our five senses can perceive (like we or our senses cannot perceive a four-dimensional world)? Even if a reality exists (which it probably does), how do we know that our perception of it is correct?

But as I said to Angie, it doesn't matter either way. We have to go on with our life even if it is an illusion, or "maya".

At the bolded ones: I don't think one's imagination has a life of its own, and as such, I don't think I can be the product of anyone else's imagination. It's not completely impossible, though.

Now it's time for me to go cra-cra. 😆 I see I have gone totally beyond your question(s) and brought irrelevant aspects here. Very typical of me. 😆 I see why Mr. K gets angry with me now. 😊

That was a sarcastic remark .

Wrong place, wrong time?!

God is imperfect?

Well, maybe we all are color blind- and the ones whom we think to be color blind are indeed not so. Who knows? I think the present reality is something like - if the perceptions of majority of the people match, then that perception is considered real.

Yup, but we can always think about all this stuff . Googling the mind helps in intellectual development.😆

I am afraid there is no independent way of verifying the veracity of reality other than what your senses tell you. You perceive the "majority" that you are talking about through your senses. For example, you are seeing the others through your eyes and hearing the others through your ears. In other words, you see what you want to see and you hear what you want to hear.

For any knowledge to be properly inferred or deduced, it has to be ultimately gained from one's sense based experience and nothing else. That's empiricism.

Now, my_view would tell us that we could rely on intuition but I analyzed that and frankly I didn't see any way how could we develop intuition over the years without the direct help of inputs fed to us via our senses.

A God did not create us...we created him 😛 ..

I don't believe in God at all. I never felt the presence of a God either.
But, I'd rather believe it if there was a theory explaining that aliens created us through some breeding and all. Remember, whenever we say something 'bout God.. we usually point him upwards - the sky. And it's aliens who land on Earth from the sky. And they might be technologicallly advanced to come down to us.
I'm going off-topic now.. -_-
😆 .. So, I don't think there's a God. "God" is just something which we make up and believe.
I sometimes feel that early man/humans make up things like God or a superior energy/soul - power, just to have feeling of security.
People generally "wish for good and betterment", throw their wishes at God and feel secure. They need some assurance, hope to live and move on.. so, they throw wishes at God.
I'm sorry if anyone found my post offensive, but my POV completely.

I don't think there's anything as Omnipotence either.. If there was an Omnipotent, I'm sure he would have been sane enough NOT to create us!

omnipotence has nothing to do with sanity. omniscience does, to certain extent. if an entity is all-knowing and knows that creating us is insane, that entity would probably not create us, is one line of thought that is acceptable.
