Stop feeling sorry for Islam and its believers and stop trying to invoke sympathy from others. Have enough faith in your religion to stand up for it and know that criticism will always be present. Respect your religion and fellow believers first, and then expect others to follow suit. Even the Quran says, "Verily, Allah will not change the condition of a people until they change what is in themselves." (13:11)

Love this quote:

A true Muslim is the one who does not defame or abuse others; but the truly righteous becomes a refuge for humankind, their lives and their properties.

- The Prophet Muhammad

I think muslims must stop playing "victim" card every time something comes up, and stop believing in various wacko conspiracy stuff (Islam khatre mein hai type or everything is a kafir conspiracy). They also need to do deep introspection as to why they are producing so many extremists. Not to mention they need to become less rigid, relax a bit and enjoy life.

Seriously we all need to stop taking religion stuff too seriously...as if ki life mein aur kuchh hai hi nahi. Pata nahi kyon log aisi cheezo par marne-maarne ko utaaroon ho jaate hain jo ki hai hi nahi (god). Main same gotra mein shaadi nahi kar sakta kyonki aisa dharm ke viruddh hoga...others have some similar stuff.

Btw, you see things from an atheist perspective. How strong is your atheism? Have you tried Battleground God. Its a philosophy test that tests the coherency of your beliefs.

Hey, RTH, thanks for the article. I got hit by a bullet once.
Here's my analysis:

You have been awarded the TPM medal of distinction! This is our second highest award for outstanding service on the intellectual battleground.

The fact that you progressed through this activity without being hit and biting very few bullets suggests that your beliefs about God are internally consistent and well thought out.

A direct hit would have occurred had you answered in a way that implied a logical contradiction. The bitten bullets occurred because you responded in ways that required that you held views that most people would have found strange, incredible or unpalatable. However, because you bit only one bullet and avoided direct hits completely you still qualify for our second highest award. A good achievement!
