Anyway what is morality for Athiests? (i know its independent of religion, but lets hear)

Well, just don't believe in God for whatever reason. You wanna hear my reason?

If people don't need a reason to believe in God, people don't need one for not believing in God either. Moreover, I think it's more like atheists can't believe in God rather than that they don't.

I don't think people becomes atheist(s) by their own will. It's something that happens gradually, and more, something one has no control over. Honestly, when you loose faith (just as when you gain it) - you simply do. You cannot change that. Moreover, I don't think atheists are anymore close minded individuals than religious people are. Militant atheists, like religious fanatics, maybe, but every group has its extremists. Ones belief, or lack thereof, does not dictate his nature.

I am not sure what you mean by the bolded. Maybe you can clarify.

@bolded: I wanted to hear from the point of view of atheists that how do they define right or wrong and what is moral or immoral for them.

I believe that one can be moral without being adhering to a particular religion.

If your reason is too personal then you may not write here.
@morality: so how do you decide what is wrong or right?

This is not directed at anyone here, but I think being an atheist had become sort of a fashion these days. Many people actually find it cool. Some are truly atheists, and some pretends (even to themselves), probably because that makes them feel highly about themselves. I understand the former group, but latter sounds very weird. I mean, BE what you are - what is the need to pretend. Your belief or lack of it doesn't change the person you are.
Edit: I think there are religious people who falls on the same boat.

It's nothing personal. I used to do puja everyday in the house and was very religious. I caouldn't tolerate anyone talking anything bad about God. But I used to pray everyday and then nothing special happened. So, I tried not praying for a week, just to check out if things go from bad to worse. It didn't. then I asked myself "You pray everyday for so long, what do you get from all this? How will you benefit from all this?" Answer was nothing. Sice then, I have lost all belief in God, accomapnied by the fact that there isn't any solid proof of His existence. I decide what's wrong or right by just referring to my morals, that have been taught by my parents. For example, I know cheating on a test is wrong because I have read stories about it and the consequences from articles given to me by my parents.

Maybe an atheist can answer better, but I feel they usually go with their country law(s), or whatever philosophy their family (or they themselves) adhere to.

Here, read this. Quite a long rant coming from a spiritual atheist, but I tend to agree with most of it.

It seems both believers and non-believers have their own personal equations with God.

Example set 1: Those doing well
Believer: "I am doing well, thank you God!"
Non-believer: "I am doing well, I don't need you God"

Example set 2: Those not doing well
Believer: "Please God, help me!"
Non-believer: "I am going through hell. There is no God otherwise I won't be going through hell"

I want to know how many have arrived at a decision to believe or not believe after analytically and systematically attacking the problem, keeping aside their personal experiences.

^^^ I have not reached a conclusion yet, so can't say. Still redefining my belief(s).
