In your model, there is an alien race but you don't know if that alien race has created us or not for sure. You don't know where they are and who they are for sure. You don't know how they themselves came about for sure. You don't know what's the connection between them and us for sure. You don't know if they reside in the same universe as us or not for sure. You don't know why they did what they purportedly did for sure.

Fine.

Basically, your model is very similar to mine except my model doesn't consider the added complication of aliens. You introduced an extra layer of complication between us and the unknown (namely the alien race) where as I have just us and the unknown.

Simply put:

Unknown -> aliens -> humans is more complicated than unknown -> humans.

(Combined all the points written before)

Here are some of my points that I wrote once in a thread by POH:

Note that they are "independent" points and explanations:

Omniscience:

1) God knows only what is possible to be known.

2) God is an entity outside time and has been there in past present and future. Thus he doesnt know what "we will" do out of free will, but its similar to more like he knows what "we did".

3) Just like in Chess there are finite combinations and permutations of different moves - God knows all the combinations and there are multiple universes where all the combinations are played out. With free will we choose to be a part of a particular universe.

4) God doesnt know all, but is semi-omniscient (similar to point 1 above)

Omnipotent:

yes he can create a rock that he cant lift, but

1) What is lifting after all? Just maya. He himself is gravity and all other forces.

2) He simply "chooses" not to create such a rock because it will anyway take lot of resources and he took a vow never to create a paradox and never to challenge his power of omnipotence. Means he just "chooses" not to create paradoxes. For example he grants "immortal" boons to evil ppl, but still allows for a loophole to kill that evil person later.

Misery and suffering:

1) He doesnt care for us. Just like we dont care for which file gets deleted from the system if its of no use.

2) He once tried to create an utopia, but that meant less freedom and was widely regarded a bad move. With everything mushy and nice people got bored and killed themselves. So he created the current universe.

3) He helps only those who help themselves. Just like empti said about life being a test.

4) He has to respect free will.

5) This universe is his big experiment.

6) If there is god then there is also evil who is responsible for all the suffering.

😆 jokes apart. I don't buy the theory of God being a person or a thing. To me he is more like a free flowing energy across the universe which when connected to, can give immense happiness and peace. The energy is within all of us but it is obstructed by our thoughts and partially by our body, hence the never-ending search for happiness and peace continues.

Karan, is that all open for debate? it will stretch into several pages, if we get down to it.

And what do you mean by independent points? Should I consider the gist of what you are saying or not?

@ Mister K: Well, the idea of aliens sound good to my ears and my brain, just like a single entity called 'God' sounds good to you, so that's why I stick to it.
Going by your mathematical equation, how much have we found about that single X when compared to the mulitple Y's? So which one is easier to find?
