Attitude simply refers to behavior. In slang terms, when someone doesn't behave properly, is rude, arrogant and full of themselves, the line "you've got too much attitude" is often used to account for the arrogance. If someone says "fix your atittude" or "you've got attitude problems", it simply means you need to fix your behavior. Which reminds me - bad behavior gets on my last nerve, people seriously need to get their act together and behave properly in different situations.

Attitude is an outlook towards life, people and situations. An attitude can have various attributes like positive, negative, assertive, aggressive, cool, relaxed, uptight etc.

When people use the phrase 'You have an attitude problem' or 'You need to change your attitude' - they are using it colloquially to mean a bad attitude. A bad attitude means that someone is aggressive instead of assertive, overbearing instead of relaxed and the person needs to change the attitude to be more pleasant.

Although, attitude can be misinterpreted. In western culture where people are expected to be more assertive and can be considered timid and negative if they do not assert themselves. In eastern culture where humility is expected people are considered rude and aggressive if they assert themselves.
