Okay, So since there were like two topics opened in opposition to the MayUr SBS and SBB segment, I thought I'd open a topic to put forth my point of views.

What I don't get is, are people here AGAINST Intimacy for some reason? Does today's youth actually believe that College goers have the purest form of Love? Do you guys really think it's only studies they focus on? Heck, even school kids don't focus on studies these days. And if you're in a relationship, you would very well agree. And as for the youth aspect of MJHT, it is Still there. They are showing what today's youth is capable of. What they showed in the segment was nothing compared to what we see in real life. And If people are mature enough to differentiate between romantic and vulgar, then why aren't they mature enough to understand that this is fiction and that it isn't to be tried out? Blaming media for promoting wrong stuff is really the biggest hypocrisy I've seen. On one point, people are against stereotypes, and now when they're trying to show a bolder side to a character, there are questions arising. We are being questioned for our open mindedness. Are we really open minded, if we cannot even take in this scene, which is supposedly tagged as Vulgar?

Then what would you like to say about bollywood movies? Why aren't they being bashed and criticized for the same?

It's just plain hypocrisy. On one hand, it's okay to see all this in movies, and on the other hand, it's a strict No-No to be shown on television. Why such hypocrisy?

In my opinion, this scene was romantic. They showed two people in Love. I didn't find anything vulgar in it. And I'm a fifteen year old, and I know what Cheap and Vulgar is. People of my age get into stuff which one couldn't even dare imagine to be shown on TV. Now THAT is cheap. This scene in the barn was intimate, and romantic. And Intimacy is essential in every relationship. If Intimacy were to be tagged cheap, I'd presume the whole world would be called cheap.

And really, it's too early to comment. The Episode hasn't been aired yet. So how could you comment it was cheap, and not romantic?

That's all I'd like to say. Please do not be harsh and bash if you oppose my ideas. It would be nice if you could put it out in a much better, and polite way.

No offence to anyone. Just my pov.

nice topic, nice views and nicely written.......
agree with u.

dont worry if others dont agree with u its their life and pov.

all i think is its how u take it.....
if u thinks its cheap and vulgar it is..
if u think its romantic ,,,it is,,
and if u think just its a great scene excuted with nice camera angles placed at different place withs actors being very uncomfortable playing it but still executing it with number of people around them- crew and each person is trying hard to make that scene gets shooted the best so they all can complete their professional work and make audience happy at end with nice BG and song playing back.,,,then it is..
just its how u take it...
my POV..no offence..

One thing I don't understand why are people saying that india is not ready for these kind of intimate scenes on TV?...there are worst things on indian TV....that can take the society backwards instead of modern...look at all the star plus dramas...ekata maii serials...bidaii...Yeh Rishta...Kis Desh Mein...Sajan Ghar Jana Hai....(I don't watch them all...but know the storyline from the promos..)...one show promotes a culture where it;s okay to differenciate between fair and black girl...other show is showing all backwardness in indian culture in the name of traditions....and other show allows a second wife when he has one already....india likes those type of shows....if india is ready to see all this....then I must say india is getting more conservative...and lack of culture...and to curse the show for showing the intimacy...i mean come on...you watch Bipasha and Kareena in skimpy clothes doing vulgar scenes...and love chindi hindi cinemas....you like watching bedroom scenes in Yeh Rishta...then why to curse just one show?...you all love watching MTV cheapness...you all love watching foreign serials like friends and desperate housewives...then why to curse one show for showing the intimacy....CVs give you what you want to see....
At least...they can try and make a decent intimate scene...which I think AB and RP are successful in doing...it's anything but cheap...

this is unbelievably well said!!! bollywood aims at teenagers aswell....and im guessing a lot of ppl in indai..teenagers do watch friends, one tree hill..desperate housewives etc....so why complain about a lil initimacy shown on indian tv??? rather hypocritical isnt it?!?! anyway...each to their own! im just so xcited for thursday! :)

Exactly.. and why is this such an issue? Some people feel it's cheap and vulgar. So what??

It's an opinion, so why make such a big deal out of it.. You think it''s romantic, are we thinking that you are cheap and vulgar? NO?

So let's leave at that.

Hi,
I am not attacking you on this but the above points I bolded are just what I have to say about them.
the very first point: Agree all these people do concentrate on studies. Absolutely true because for me my studies come first but do they have a social life that involves relationships such as MN? yes...do their studies get disturbed when they get in such relationship? maybe...In the end are they responsible for their own failure? Def. Do regular girls think about marriages or such ideas? It is always present on each and everyone of us but in the end it is an individual who has the power of self in their own hand. I have seen people who claimed that they would never let a relationship or a boy get in the way of their success and they are the same girls who get screwed over and over.
Second point: Do such scenes seen as cheap and vaulgar when you are in love? Never! but I do respect your views but you have to understand that what you see is never seen the same by others...Everyone of us here is different and we see differently too. So i think you shouldn't assume that what you see as cheap and vaulgar is seen the same way by your cousins or friends or what not...
third point: I completely agree with how media influences our daily life! I am all up for it but again in the end you have to understand that it is us in the end who can truly can differentiate from right to wrong. What I mean to say is that it is our perception of how we take in those influence and use it in our daily life. As an individual, the decisions that I make will determine how I will live my life not some box of picture showing me things to do. But keeping that in mind, I am also aware that majority of us are not educated enough, especially underdeveloped countries where majority are still lacking education, to distinguish from right and wrong. We will commit acts that might bring negative consequences on us and others...It does happen in real life.
Last point: yes india is not ready for intimicy but does that mean we should avoid it at all costs? no becuase if it could happen in movies, where such acts are being welcome slowly, then it will definitely happens in T.V.
Here's a suggestion: just watch the show and enjoy it in the two sense: one u cud see it as a joke and two think of it how it would never happen to you in real life because in reality guys are not that romantic and immature especially if they are your age. 😆
Again not bashing you but putting out some views of what I do agree and what I dont agree.
Rooj😊

just to reply to the italics bolded pat- that sentence wudnt hold true if we r discussing mayank here-the perfectionist who knows everything.....ummm..he might ve finished off a few restricted/censored books on this as well.😊

Please get it straight. No one bashed MN here. WE are talking about the scene , not the characters..

and it's not us that started bashing.. People ended up getting wayy to personal here...
