What is it with Intimacy?

Okay, So since there were like two topics opened in opposition to the MayUr SBS and SBB segment, I thought I'd open a topic to put forth my point of views.

What I don't get is, are people here AGAINST Intimacy for some reason? Does today's youth actually believe that College goers have the purest form of Love? Do you guys really think it's only studies they focus on? Heck, even school kids don't focus on studies these days. And if you're in a relationship, you would very well agree. And as for the youth aspect of MJHT, it is Still there. They are showing what today's youth is capable of. What they showed in the segment was nothing compared to what we see in real life. And If people are mature enough to differentiate between romantic and vulgar, then why aren't they mature enough to understand that this is fiction and that it isn't to be tried out? Blaming media for promoting wrong stuff is really the biggest hypocrisy I've seen. On one point, people are against stereotypes, and now when they're trying to show a bolder side to a character, there are questions arising. We are being questioned for our open mindedness. Are we really open minded, if we cannot even take in this scene, which is supposedly tagged as Vulgar?

Then what would you like to say about bollywood movies? Why aren't they being bashed and criticized for the same?

It's just plain hypocrisy. On one hand, it's okay to see all this in movies, and on the other hand, it's a strict No-No to be shown on television. Why such hypocrisy?

In my opinion, this scene was romantic. They showed two people in Love. I didn't find anything vulgar in it. And I'm a fifteen year old, and I know what Cheap and Vulgar is. People of my age get into stuff which one couldn't even dare imagine to be shown on TV. Now THAT is cheap. This scene in the barn was intimate, and romantic. And Intimacy is essential in every relationship. If Intimacy were to be tagged cheap, I'd presume the whole world would be called cheap.

And really, it's too early to comment. The Episode hasn't been aired yet. So how could you comment it was cheap, and not romantic?

That's all I'd like to say. Please do not be harsh and bash if you oppose my ideas. It would be nice if you could put it out in a much better, and polite way.

No offence to anyone. Just my pov.

first of all a bigg thanx 4 opening this topic...we all needed it..

oh god give me a break...ppl have opened topic and questioning the "intimacy" and calling it vulgar??😲😲
lol i agree rachna...i think ppl on this forum need to know first that what is "intimacy" and what is "vulagrity"?😆😆
oh come-on..they r 20yrs old and r mature enough to think abt this...today even in india ppl cross there limits in very early age..and lets dun talk abt other countries...😆
but plzzzzz...why r ppl considering it vulgar???
does it have anything like we see in Bollywood moviess??well i wont say hollywood movies coz they have many things which i dun think the soo called "un-cheap" ppl here wud have even heard abt it..😆😆
yeah rachna we all r mature enough to differentiate between "cheap" and "romantic"..
and i think some ppl here have taken responsibilty of doing "constructive -criticism"(that is what they call it😆)
but i have always said this and m again repeating this...
its ok if u dun want to do sumthing like this at the age of 19/20,its ur life...
but come-on its a fiction and why r u expecting that it wil have "reality" in it????
and if u want something like "reality" then u shud watch BIG-BOSS,..i m sure u will have fun watching it...
according to me it was not at all "vulgar"..it was an another side of love..dats it..
thanku!

Very Nicely put, rachna ...

Romance, intimacy are a combution of Feelings our mind hold for the other person who strikes a chord in our heart, where as Vulgarity is a step taken beyond social n cultural norms ...

I dont wanna talk abt the ACtual sequence.. as its not even Aired yet .. but by watching SBB, SBS, wotever being shown keeping in mind abt how the chracters must be feeling, didnt brought a single seed of vulgarity in my mind. Both looked hoplessly and irreovacbly in love, trying hard to get away from each other ...as for the development, they had been on a verge of a break up ..n for they might be losing each other forever ... isnt that much a development to have some intimacy .. offcourse their intentions arnt to get involved in an act which will lead them into trouble , they both are mature n responsible indivuduals.. in that way .. A HUG can also be taken in that stance.... a relationship has its phases... being romantic ina barn where two individuals are not willing to cross their limits who had went through a lot .. who are new to this feeling, their act cannot be termed as cheap or vulgar .they are being victimised by thir true feelings ... .... most of us arnt looking at the characters only .. .they are busy in comparaing !! on a mission to prove how wrong makers are.

on another note .. we better should wait for the actual version ... before jumping into conclusions .. but by looking at the segment.. i did not find it vulgar or cheap 😊

thanks for the topic racha.. i tried to be as decent as i can be, i didnt wanted to bring in how a person is physically attracted towards another or how Sexual lessons being taught in west are better then wot we are having on the show .. 😊

All I have to say is that Indians (I wont mention about other cultures, but since I am Indian, I can speak safely for them) seem to have a hypocritical attitude towards physical intimacy. some xcusive phenomena often pervert it by tagging 'sex' stamp on it. They refuse to talk about it, refuse to acknowledge it, yet we have the second highest population in the world.lolz Surely these children are not dropping from the sky as "angels brush their wings against a woman's cheek"?? Nonsense. Absolute bull. Why do all think so?

this is utter disgusting and ridiculous!! at the age of about 18-25 physical intimacy in every relationship is a basic primal need of human beings and it should be treated as any other facet of human behaviour. Love is definetly a force...a force of attraction!True love doesn't just fill ones heart, it overflows into the whole body and soul.these sick personalities enjoy every moment of the sensored movies in hall with rnt even being tagged as 'A' one..their teenage culture and values dont get affected in that...their morals and self conscience only get hurt when they see mayur getting close to each other...well the reason is obvious 4 sure....a boy like mayank has that much right to get close to the love of his life..and a cheek peck or a neck kiss termed as vulgar? hello!!since when?sometimes people behave in a way as if they dont even belong in 21st century......well i repeat ! the reason is too obvious.....

thanks rach 4 making this topic.it was really needed!

Okie Rach..I think I am not gonna say anything....
Its worded amazingly the way u put it across!
Totally correct and yeah....I have nothing to add when u have taken the whole thing so well!
But yeah...It wasnt vulgar and neither was it dirty...it was pure love and the affection that they had for eah other...and if people cant understand this...Then its their problem...we cant go on convincing all!!!
Morever I just thought of adding.....SBS shows not the entire content...what we saw just a peek...and nothing else...So MN wont be shown that way at all.....its going to be the typical love that each feel or each other...and thats going to have nothing to do with vulgarity....I mean after all its love!
