Excellent post RTH 👏 👏 Wish our politicians focus on this rather prolonging the reservation policies which hasnt achieved much in all these years except benefitting the politicians in the form of possible vote banks

Reservation...ufff...No its not the ultimate solution ...If Government wants to do anything then they should give free education till 10 th class including books and transportation from school to home.If a person dose well then again give free education till 12 th..It all depends on person .Noone can suppress intelligence. What bother us is the reservation in TOP INSTITUTES and medical colleges..e.g.IIM's, IIT, Top Medical colleges ..these institutions/ colleges have produces some TOP Engineers,CEO and Doctors of the world. They are the cream of our economy. They shouldn't bring reservation in these Institutes .Intelligent students will thrive and come out even if there is a 70% qouta.

Nope, reservation is preferential treatment. Once we justify preferential treatment to compensate for past harms we open up an endless loop.

Just wanted to point out that some of the 'past harms" persist even today in our so called civilized society. The govt as well as society seem to overlook that fact. 😊

Perhaps I should rephrase Once we justify preferential treatment for harm, we open up an endless loop, There is no excuse for discrimination. The system should be set up to eliminate harm and discrimination, and not to allow it and then offer lame compensations.
