Has google gone too far?

GOOGLE Street View has launched in the UK this week and the internet images are there for all to see.

I know it was launched in US before but not sure what US residents reactions were but some UK people do not like it and its causing some controversy.
Users are wary that the eye-level images of their houses could encourage peeping toms or burglars and think the street-map snaps may not be such a great idea.
But the Virtual tour can be useful to determine adresses, shops etc as long as its used sensibly.
What do you feel, Google Street View is fine or not? Would you want a picture of your house on the internet and when the google car was taking pics where were you 😉😆
I was playing about on it, but for example the shopping mall wasn't on it - nor were main shop road etc so it was a bit pointless? There was roads nearby - ok i frequently drive on them but i mean i would want to see locations etc but that was for my own area - but maybe London's attractions are on them - let me go play some more on it 😆
Edit * Nope just roads and more roads no attractions.

Can God ever go too far?

I personally love the street view and most Americans I know like it too. Of course there are security concerns but we feel safer with google than the feds.

Street views are helpful because when I print directions, I can print the street view of turns, exits, merges etc. So I know what to look for. I can watch a street view of destination to figure where exactly, I am going, think about where to park etc. One of our companies location is on a county road. The entrance to the driveway and logo are obscured by trees, so we usually give people a screenshot of the street view to find us.

Yeah i was playing about on it, and i actually quite liked it. It was helpful, but because its only just launched its only in certain towns/cities but when i dragged the man across - there were only certain roads there so if they improved the service it would be better....because exits and etc not exactly all there.... ...but its helpful for visitors and guests to give them directions with pictures....or to look yourself.
I think overall it was a good service they are providing but does the Security risk not kind of undermine the whole thing... because at the moment i am fine with nosing around but if my own house was on the service i don't think i would be too pleased.

re topic - I don't think street view should be of concern, jiss ko kuch karna hota hai...woh info kidhar sey bhi nikal leta hai😉 but for generic public is helpfull.

Yeah, google has gone far but not too far. They have to still get into people's bedrooms and bathrooms.😉😆
