Each person has their own individuality; everyone works off of their own thinking and capabilities to achieve goals in life.

Everyone?s life and situations are different but some people love to make comparisons between individuals, mostly seen in parents they always want their chunnu/munnu to be on top of other chunnus😆/munnus😆 in their family circle / friends / neighbors. These comparisons impact both ways negative plus positive. IMO they are more negative then positive, i.e. Brillant chunnu might loose focus in his goals seeing duffer chunnus Or duffer chunnu might get so de-motivated to even try to achieve their goals.

Do you think comparisons between individuals have a more positive then a negative impact? BTW ? this not about product comparisons 😉😆

Hey, Nice topic! :)
Competition can be healthy if the child is not constantly put down. It gives you a certain goal to reach or some kind of motivation to do something or to be ahead in something. You know where you need to improve if you are compared to others, otherwise how would you know? If you aren't compared you can even say 60/100 is a great grade...coz that is the highest you have achieved. ;)
But parents should know the limit to it as well. Encouragement is equally important and if comparison is putting a kid down then it shouldn't be done. I guess it depends on each individual?
