Punit is younger to Shakti. She is 85 born. He is 87.

Official hai.

He was her senior because he started at Terence's at a younger age compared to Shakti. Shakti came here after completing her studies at Miranda House. Isliye dance career wise he is senior but age wise is younger.

Exactly. This is the pic that gave me umeed. I saw it when JDJ 7 was going on. Fir maine net search kiya toh I got to know ki these 2 are linked right from DID days. And then partner swap in JDJ mein they ended up together. I hoped yeh dono kuch romantic act kare - because Ashish-Bhavna and all highly romantic acts kiya tha. So I hoped. But nahi :P Patriotic act tha. But amazing tha.

And then I saw the Dance plus S1 finale wala pic that Nishant e daala . Cropped wala. And then wapis hopes high. :P

Sacchi yaar yeh dono ke pics give me all sort of hopes.

Mere exams aa rahe hai and kuch nahi padha. And I'm hopelessly addicted to these two. Mera exam ka kya hoga :p

Like if you observe her with Raghav and Dharmesh, she is completely bindaas. She casually puts her arms around them. But Punit and Shakti are always on their guard in front of the camera. I have never seen Punit casually put his arms around Shakti. With Mouni and Lauren, he always has an arm flung over their shoulders. But with Shakti, he is so self aware.
And that is what made me suspicious in the first place.
That casual air of friendship and being comfortable in each other's presence (which should logically be there after like 12 years of friendship) is missing. (Like Ronmione and Harry Hermione. Hermione wasn't aware of Harry like a man. But she was aware of Ron. *sigh* My Ronmione. WAIT. I am going off track)
There is tension there. They are super aware of each other. He is not casual around here.
One more thing. I have noticed this so often. Punit always clasps his arms behind his back around Shakti and she does the same. Like they are making a conscious effort not to touch each other. Come to think of it, I have never even seen them hug. That awkwardness they have would not have been there had they been "Just friends". That is sexual tension right there. Awareness of each other. Eee.
I am so glad to be shipping after so long.

Haha I have never watched D3 so I was masst mein reading the discussion.

Anyway. Totally agree to what you have said.

As @Perfangel said, Punit sits next to Gaiti in DID for an entire season and no one felt anything other than Friendship/bro sis bond. Infact they interact on cam wayyy more than ShaNit. Infact she smacks him so much. Friendship se bhi zyada bro sis wali feel aati hai. She smacks and beats him when he makes jokes on her. And that is really cute to watch.

But romantically durr durr se kuch nahi lagta.

And then there is ShaNit. I mean. @Kishi- I SO agree with you. These 2 consciously try to stay away from each other on CAM. And yet the sparks fly and How. :") Just sit next to each other, and yet that itself gives plenty of feels. These two have a chemistry on another level. And that too- after TRYING like crazy to show that there is nothing special. And on cam there is so much awkwardness between them- and that makes me think that there is more than just friendship. I mean look at her and D or her and Raghav. They are so cool with each other- that we can say - yaar besties hai. , usse aage kuch nahi hoga. But when it comes to ShaNit, they both become so awkward with each other and YET, the chemistry is evident. Matlab it gives us a vibe that they are hiding something, or trying to show that they are just friends.

At first, I thought it was the ex- wali vibes. But then I thought, ex toh JDJ ke time pe bhi te. But always ShaNit used to hangout with Mouni and Tushar as a group. Toh tab ex wali vibes toh nahi thi ab kyu hogi. Also, after watching Never Have I Ever, I just removed that cold vibes wali theory, because damn. D and ShaNit ke beech mein jo gap tha. And D ka face bhi aisa tha- like- he was masst mein watching her teasing him. And offscreen pics se bhi evident hai ki cold vibe is not the thing mostly.

Also one thing I noticed is that, She is the first one to catch his cartoongiri wale comments. As in Bandits ke iss week ke performance ke baad, that chai wala comment. D was figuring it out but she got it in an instant. And hotstar mein unke dance ka uncut video hai. It was not rehearsed but impromptu. They just took 5 seconds ka rehearsal on stage and started dancing. Which means that putting her legs over his waist was impromptu. Damn.. *_* Their dance looked as if they were dancing with each other for ages.

Uff.I so freakingly love them.
