Pitch Conditions:

The track tends to be a good wicket for batting. However, the spinners are known to play their part as the game progresses and can get it to grip off the surface. The covers manufactured by Griffon Hoverwork, has been praised by the Indian skipper, MS Dhoni.

When: November 1, 2023 at 14:00 IST

Where: Maharashtra Cricket Association Stadium, Pune

What to expect: A small target - 260 wasn't reached in either of the first innings in the two matches played here in the tournament - despite the decent pitch and small outfield. Hot and dry, but less humid than other venues.

If we talk about ODI World Cup tournaments, New Zealand has an edge over South Africa. The Kiwis have defeated the Proteas in six out of 8 in ODI World Cups. Moreover, in the last 5 encounters in ODI World Cups, New Zealand has vanquished South Africa on every occasion.

In the previous five ODI clashes between both teams, New Zealand won 3 games while South Africa won twice. Both teams have faced each other just once in India in ODIs; when New Zealand crushed South Africa in 2006. Below is the detailed New Zealand vs South Africa records across all three formats.

NZ vs. SA Probable Best Performers:

Probable Best Batter:

Rachin Ravindra (New Zealand)

New Zealand’s all-rounder Rachin Ravindra could be the best batter in game 32 of the ongoing ODI World Cup 2023. Being in sensational form and a century into his last game, Ravindra’s performance with the bat will have many eyes set on him, and it could be interesting to see how he performs against South Africa.

Probable best bowler:

Marco Jansen (South Africa)

South Africa’s Marco Jansen could be the best bowler in Game 32 of the ODI World Cup 2023. Being in brilliant form, Jansen has been consistently taking wickets for the Proteas. With 20 wickets in 10 matches, Jansen’s performance could prove to be key for his side.

This is just a prediction based on various conditions. Not a personal opinion.

Things haven't really gone New Zealand's way in the past two games, whereas South Africa's batters have been in rousing form, their brief stutter while chasing a relatively modest target against Pakistan in their last game in Chennai notwithstanding
