That situation was different , that time Dravid quit & no other senior was ready or suitable to take captaincy. Here Dhoni hasnt quit from test captaincy till now. & with WC coming , wont it be too strange for ODI captain to play under someone else in tests.

Yuvi/Gambhir was ready but selectors blindly followed god and it paid dividends😆. Ponting and Waugh in 2003/04 had the same situation.

Dude dhoni should remain captain of team because kohli is quiteimmature test captain in first test as captain he batted outstandly and awesome but some decison he takes like selecting saha rather than naman ojha or sanjusamson and selection of karn sharma rather ashwin or jadeja is reason of deafeat in first test and in second innings after the wicket of rahane and shrma he would have played for draw rather than for win .

Really??? Kohli is an U19 world cup winning captain. He has captained in 20/25 ODIs for India. And when dhoni was made captain for India he didnt have experience of even a first class match captaincy. Saha was the only choice because Ojha was just for the security. Karn was a good selection because Leg spinners always take wickets but he bowled badly. Kohli is not a defensive captain, He lives by the sword and dies by the sword. 50 runs in 15 overs and who would not try to win?

other than gods advice it also helped that Dhoni was the only one who was regular in all 3 forms , Gambhir wasnt even regular in the ODIs that time.
