No risk No Gain. We have no option. Better lose without rohit if we are gonna lose with him. There is a guarantee he will be more useful than Rohit.

your thinking is right dude. but Rohit may be selected in second test because he is more technically correct than raina and if you don't wants to include raina and Rohit then you have to include jadeja and ashwin and rest pacers of Indian cricket team using 3 pacers and 2 spinners will not be good strategy in Brisbane test

Trying Rahul in middle order is another option but they wont go for it . Ashwin is the best for that slot choice unfortunately.

That situation was different , that time Dravid quit & no other senior was ready or suitable to take captaincy. Here Dhoni hasnt quit from test captaincy till now. & with WC coming , wont it be too strange for ODI captain to play under someone else in tests.
