Which of the following gas samples would be most likely to behave ideally under the stated conditions?

A) N2 at 1 atm and -70C

B) CO at 200 atm and 25C

C) SO2 at 2 atm and 0 K

D) Ne at STP

E) O2 at 400 atm and 25C
Ans: D Nobel gases mostly behave as ideal because intermolecular attraction between them is negligible.

hey I tried to post the answers but both of our answers are wrong and yea we have to answer it to one decimal place but I already did that too, its still giving me wrong ans. any idea what to do?

Let the triangle be ABC where m<B = 90 deg
AB = 3 cm, BC = 8 cm
Let the rectangle be DBEF, where D lies on AB, E lies on BC, and F lies on AC.
BE = DF = x (say)
DB = FE = y (say)
AD = AB - DB = 3 - y
By similar triangles ADF and ABC
AD/DF = AB/BC
(3-y)/x = 3/8
8(3-y) = 3x
24 - 8y = 3x
8y = 24 - 3x
y = (24 - 3x)/8
y = 3 - (3/8)(x)
Area of the triangle A = (x) (y)
A = (x) [3 - (3/8)(x)]
A = 3x - (3/8)x^2 --------------------(1)
For maximum A,
dA/dx = 0
3 - (3/8) * 2x = 0
3 - (3/4) * x = 0
Dividing by 3
1 - (1/4)*x = 0
x = 4
Substituting this value of x into equation(1)
A = 3 * 4 - (3/8) * 4^2
= 12 - 3/8 * 16
= 12 - 6
= 6 cm^2
Ans: 6 cm^2

Let the horizontal dimension = x, the vertical dimension = y
xy = 250
y = 250/x
The horizontal dimension of the printed area = x - 3 - 3 = x - 6
The vertical dimension of the printed area = y - 3 - 7 = y - 10 = (250/x) - 10
The printed area A = (x-6)[(250/x) - 10]
A = 250 - 10x - 1500/x + 60
A = 310 - 10x - 1500/x
For largest A,
dA/dx = 0
0 - 10 + 1500/x^2 = 0
10 = 1500/x^2
x^2 = 150
x = sqrt(150) = 12.2 cm
y = 250/x = 250/sqrt(150) = 20.4 cm
Try 12.2 cm and 20.4 cm
Here 12.2 cm is the horizontal dimension and 20.4 is the vertical.
I do not know which one to call length (may be horizontal) ?

hey guys ii am new here and nned help wiith few biio q's!
1. All parts of this questiion deal with an organism whose somatic cells contain 26 chromosomes.
a) how many pairs of choromosomes will there be in these somatic cells?
b) how many chromosomes will be in this organism's sex cells?
c) how many pairs of chromosomes will be in this organisms gamete?
d) how many chromosomes will be in a cell that is beginnin mitosis?
e) how many chromosomes will be in a cell that is begiinniin meisosis?
2) if a cell is 2n=12 how many...
a) chromosomes would be visible in phase 1 of meiosis?
b) chromosomes would be visible in metaphase of mitosis?
c)chromosomes would be in each cell at the end of meiosis?
d) cells will be produced at the end of meiosis?
e) how many chromosome in each cell from d)?
3) A gamete has 23 chromosome
a)how many chromosome were in the parent cell?
b)how many pairs of chromosomes were in the parent cell?
c) what kind of cell division did the parent cell undergo?
d) how many pairs of chromosomes in this gamete?
4) a skin cell from an animal has 38 chromosomes
a) how many pairs of chromose will be lined up on the equator when this skin cell is dividing?
b)how many tetrads will be seen during prophase 1 of this animal's reproductive cells?
c)how many chromosomes pairs will be this animals gametes have?
d)how many tetrads will be seen during metaphase 2 of this aniimals reprductuctive cells?
5) if 35 cells from a dog's testicle begin to divide to produce gametes how many cells wiill be produced as a reasult? ......... iif the the dog's heart has 20 chromosome pairs, how many chromosoms would be in each of the dog's gamete cells?
THANKS IIN ADVANCE =)))))) AND PLEaSE II WANT THE AnsWERS ASAP!!!

e) how many chromosomes will be in a cell that is begiinniin meisosis?
a) 13 (because 1 pair has 2 chromosomes, so 26 chrmosomes means 13 pairs)
b) 13 (because number of chromosmein sex cells is half that in somatic cells. Somatic cells ave 26 chromosomes. So sex cells have 26/2 = 13chromosomes)
c) 13
d) 26 (because mitosis happens in a somatic cell)
e) 13 (meois occurs in germ cells which have half the number of chromosomes as comparedo somatic cells)
