So everyone I am a new member of this forum. I have read many of the forum’s EDT’s, fan fictions, and short stories and I have learned a lot about what should a good episode be. So what makes a good episode?

* Good story, screenplay, dialogues, acting, and background music

* Trio (ACP, Daya, Abhijeet) present or Duo present

* Sensible depiction of murder, investigation, forensics, and confession

* No officer-phasao or YSPT (ye sab plan tha)

* No OTT or physics-defying stuff (horror, magic, you name it)

* At best no romance/flirting (especially Abhijeet-Tarika) or comedy (some comedy could be allowed otherwise)

That’s what I think. If anyone has more please add.

What I hope is with the new season coming it should qualify most or all of the requirements, but we can’t really know yet. What I also hope is that they continue with the eye gang track to see how does the gang get defeated.

And another thing I am not able to find the episode discussions thread (from 2010), the appreciation threads, the creative corner thread, the FF OS thread, and more. Are they deleted or what?

They might mention that Freddy sir died on duty while saving someonesmiley19

I hope they atleast mention him. It would be a great disservice to Dinesh sir if they don't even acknowledge Freddy in the show

Ideas to Make CID Season 2 Truly Captivating

With CID returning for Season 2, here are some suggestions to make each episode unforgettable:

  1. Character-Centric Episodes with Intriguing Continuity
Episodes could dive deeper into individual officers, exploring their personalities, challenges, and backstories. Bringing back villains from previous cases—or even decades-old cases—would add layers of mystery and nostalgia, with a twist that links past cases to current ones.

  2. Return of Iconic Officers
It would be a treat to bring back a few officers from the show's prime era (2000-2010). A mix of old and new could elevate the team dynamic, blending veteran expertise with fresh energy.

  3. Focus on Quality Writing
Renowned writers like Shridhar Raghavan and Sriram Raghavan could bring fresh perspectives and complex plots that keep the audience guessing. The storytelling should stay true to the essence of CID but with a more modern flair.

  4. Relevant Storylines on Current Scenarios
Episodes based on real-life issues such as high-stakes encounters, frauds, and political crimes could resonate deeply with viewers. It adds a realistic edge and keeps the show relatable and thought-provoking.

  5. A Satisfying Conclusion to the Eye Gang Series
The Eye Gang storyline deserves a well-rounded, powerful conclusion. A thrilling final showdown would leave fans satisfied and eager for future story arcs.

  6. Complex Villains and Motivations
Adding more depth to antagonists by exploring their motivations and histories would add layers to each case, making each resolution impactful and memorable.

  7. Incorporate Advanced Forensic Techniques
Highlighting forensic advancements can give cases a modern feel, showing the CID team tackling crimes with the latest technology. This would add a smart and sophisticated edge to the investigations.

Let's share ideas to ensure CID Season 2 becomes a series that fans old and new will cherish!

The second idea pretty much made my day. We really need to see the return of former CID officers. If Janvi as Shreya made a cameo appearance in the eye gang episode in 2018 when the show was still going, then Asha and to an extent, Muskaan, should also make an appearance in season 2. However, I don’t think Vivek would return for the second season as he already has a new profession, and I’m not sure about Sudhakar and what the actor who played him is doing.

Good writing is essential. I hope they don't get into hyper unrealistic shit like zombies and some weird advanced tech straight out of a science fiction.
