At first I thought their names were Ali and Armaan and I thought Armaan really doesn't suit Daya sir. But then I read in the description box and found it's actually Hanuman...Well, that doesn't fit him any better. But...I just hope he has a serious role, not a comedy one. And Dinesh sir too. I'd like to see him in a new avatar.

CIF will air on Dangal every Saturday and Sunday at 9.30 PM from 7 September.

So who watched the first episode?

I watched the first half of it only. There was too much copied from CID according to me. They are, I think, trying to walk on CID's footsteps and hoping to gain the same popularity.

In the half and hour I watched, I found the logo pretty similar to the old show's and the show's artists pose in the same way like that of the CID classic era's team. This I could ignore, but they carried it to the story itself, the biggest copy and a stab to the heart was the duo pairing. I mean, yes I was expecting them to work together but they just went on and reminded me of our duo in the old days. As if I don't miss them enough as it is. 😭They are starting with Daya sir (Hanuman) calling Adi sir (Ali) as 'aap' and 'sir', with Ali insisting that he stops doing so since they are friends. There is talk (on more than one occasion) of the two of them being an unbeatable pair that every criminal fears, or something along those lines. And it's not just the dialogues, they are obviously planning to show the same emotional connection between the two as well. Watching the scenes, I could remember so many similar scenes we used to drool over in this very forum. Like:

1. CIF: Ali goes to Hanuman's home to manofy him to join the force again.

CID: Daya goes after Abhijeet to manofy him for the same thing (under different circumstances).

2. CIF: Ali consoling Hanuman of his past.

CID: Daya consoling Abhijeet of his past.

3. CIF: Ali using a list of cases and its details to lure Hanuman back to the force and into the case.

CID: Daya uses a case detail to lure Abhijeet back to the case (The Mysterious Gift).

4. CIF: The senior showing complete trust on the team especially Ali and Hanuman (as a pair).

CID: I don't think I even need an example. How many times have we seen ACP bragging about his 'honhaar officers)?

5. CIF: Jab tak duniya hai tab tak jurm rahega aur jab tak jurm hai tab tak hume iska mukabla karna hoga. Not the exact words but that's the gist of what Ali has apparently taught Hanuman. But that just sounds like something that will come out of our Abhijeet sir's mouth.
