Tarika and Abhijeet

I used to watch CID quite frequently a couple of years ago, and at that time, their romantic track was shown in nearly every other episode. I recently started watching the show again, but this doesn't seem to be the case anymore.

No, its still sticked to flirting. But both show lots of concern when the one of them is in trouble...that's it.

That's a shame. Even Daya and Shreya's story has moved ahead more than theirs in a couple of years.

Nice thread...I have been wanting to talk on this for a while now. My analysis of abhijeet-tarika relationship might be entirely different from other people out here but then I have a thought a lot about it.
It began with just abhijeet flirting with Tarika and she just made faces in the lab 😡 She did not really blush or smile etc...then she began sorta smiling at his flirts and then we had episodes where daya asked abhijeet about tarika's cooking, tarika also looked for watches in the men's section, she gifted him a ring etc which directly shows that there IS a special bonding between them.
Then comes the case in freddy's village WHERE TARIKA SHOWS HER LIKING TOWARDS ABHIJEET TOO. Abhijeet reserves a place for tarika and tarika is smiling when she is about to enter the van but on seeing freddy she becomes upset. She probably was angry with abhijeet for not keeping a place for her. But she smiles again when daya reveales that they were all pulling a prank on A. Also at this point they have not even confessed that they like each other -- marriage is far away. Do when A proposes her...she is either not ready or is teasing him or is unsure of his feelings. Taking her expressions as my guide, I would say that she was unsure of his feelings.
During the same case he says "mujhe toh iski fikar hai ki aap kya sochti hain" and she says "kya mujhe kuch samajh nahi aa raha". This clearly means that they are not sure of each other's feelings even though they sort of know.
About 2.5 years after this (valentine's day) abhijeet tries to propose her for marriage again. She is really happy when he says "ye meri feelings hain aap ke liye" her face obviously falls when she sees the petal-less bouquet of roses though (how unfortunate) Another point is that they are meeting on valentine's day...its a date and so obviously they know of each other's feelings. They are in a boyfriend girlfriend relationship now. But she is not his fiancee yet (proposing and marriage are the steps left in their relationship now) This is further confirmed in the holi dhamaka episode where abhijeet himself says that he has a girlfriend but has not said his "dil ki baat" yet. The dil ki baat as revealed in the conversation later is proposal for marriage (and A gets jealous of vaibhav lol)
Then again, in the old episodes -- they tried to sorta conceal things. For example A says "khair tum theek ho vo kaafi jaanti ho mein...HUM HUM kitna pareshan ho gaye they" she smiles at this but there is still a bit of hesitation between them. Also A says "apna khayal rakha karo Abhijeet...goli tumhe lagti hai aur dard HUM SAB ko hota hai"
In the more recent episodes this HUMHE AND HUM SAB is replaced by "MEIN" In the khooni drugs episode, T faints and A says "Agar aapko kuch ho jaata toh mein toh..." freddy is staring so T covers it up for him saying "Ab mein theek hu abhijeet...thanks"
In recent episodes, we also have T responding to his flirts. She says " reports mein kya hai ye mujhe bhi pata hai" when Salunkhe tries to come between them. Also whenever A is accused she stands up for him.
Another time, he calls her for a date in a coffee shop and she pretends to be clueless (she is teasing him because this is the second time he is trying to ask her to marry him) She also says "din raat subah shaam tum kaam ke baare mein sochte rehte ho" And A cannot say anything in response. But a few episodes later, we have him telling her that he always thinks of her. We see this when A is having coffee in her house...T says "haan haan bahot chinta ho rahi hai unke baare mein...kabhi apne liye socha hai itna" (she is teasing him and at the same time telling him to think about their marriage) A says "apne baare mein sochna chod diya hai" T is confused and says "kya?" And A says "arey hamesha aapke baare mein hi toh sochta rehta hu" T blushes and we also see in the same epi that T almost gets angry at A when he almost forgot her birthday. T also says "I like you" to A and in giraftaar series and A smiles and nods which means that they have already confessed this -- Tarika is his girlfriend. In giraftaar series, T says " hamara rishta ek taraf hai aur cid..." which means "hamara rishta" they are in a relationship guys!!!!! Just not married yet.
We also have Abhijeet jealous of any guy talking to her and she keeps re-assuring him. Yeah he should go ahead and get married to her if he is soo possessive. We also see them going out on dates (for movies etc) Earlier, whenever she was not on duty, A would ask Salunkhe about her. But nowadays he doesn't need and that is obviously because she tells him before she leaves (like raksha bandhan case) And earlier they would defend each other when Salunkhe or anyone teased tjem...when daya tells tarika to tell abhijeet not to irritate Salunkhe she says "mein kyu?" and also when Salunkhe tells abhijeet "mein jaanta hu tum tarika pe poori tareh latoo ho rahe ho..." both of them say arey nahi nahi sir.
But in recent episodes Salunkhe teases Tarika about Abhijeet and she doesn't say that there is nothing between them. Both of them do not defend anymore...they just look at each other and smile/blush. For example Salunkhe says "apna sapna" to A pointing to Tarika. At this A and T share a smile.
We also have Abhijeet calling her cute in front of salunkhe -- poor doctor doesn't understand and asks tarika about it when he leaves but Tarika just avoids the question which means she understands him enough to know what he meant and we see her blushing.
In jashn e cid we see A and T saying that they missed each other. Then A comes close to her...to probably hug/kiss or whatever he was trying to do (all of us know about his shirt...in veerta awards).
Very recently, Daya asks abhijeet to hug her (he isn't a romantic type of guy so he wouldn't say this if they were not in a relationship already). Abhijeet also blushes and proceeds to hug her. She doesn't say anything either...we see her blushing too.
SO in the end...they are in a relationship But not engaged to be married yet. CID is a crime show and hence romance is very subtle...we see him sharing his problems with her. Also he openly says "duniya mujhe kuch bhi samjhe mujhe koi farak nahi padhtha par tum...tum mujhe galat samajh rahi ho tarika...bohot dukh hua mujhe" he says it when they talk about daya and shreya. CID is a crime show with subtle elements of romance...it is enjoyable and natural. I know most of you here are against it but I feel that it is only natural for cops and that the show need be robotic. After all, we just have a few scenes of romance here and there 😊 😆

Do you think it looks decent that A senior Cop flirting time and again like a teenage or college going boy that too infront of his seniors and juniors.
Secondly their relationship is like Zig Zag path sometimes it looks just flirting and sometimes more than flirt so it became irritating
everyone think differently You think love is subtle so its ok in Crime show but I think its a crime show some light team moments are fine but showing flirting scenes again and again is annoying.
Its my personal view so no idea how others take it

Well as you said all of us have differences in opinion...to me flirting is fine...its just a cute little thing the couple does...I find it cute -- the fact that love makes them behave like teenagers. Had they not been there for each other when it counts, I would have found it annoying because then it would be nothing more than silly flirts. But considering the fact that A and T are there for each other, I find their flirts sweet. And it is not really zig - zag...they have a strong relationship (they go on dates, dine with each other, A is in tears everytime something happens to T and the same holds for T too, remember how T talked to Salunkhe and shreya for him?) T has become a very important part of A's life...just like daya. And A shares all his problems with her. I find everything in this relationship pretty nice except the fact that A cant propose her (he has tried 2 times now 😡 )...what do the FW writers wanna show -- that a person who can flirt in front of everyone, who is a mature and brave cop cannot propose a girl? Limits man...they showed us that T was A's girlfriend in holi dhamaka -- and we were happy with that...why make it difficult for A to confess...if they did want to show a serious move in their relationship, A could have proposed T and they could have been engaged ( I do not really condone marriage as long as CID airing...duo can perhaps get married in the last episode.. 😆 I am not against it either) My point is that the fact that A cannot voice his "dil ki baat" is just ughh 😡 😕 But other than that I find this couple cute and nice. T makes A smile and he is happy with a girl in his life...and the teenage romance shows how sparks still fly after years of dating 😃 we should be glad that A has a girl in his life (they should go ahead and get engaged or A should not be insecure...but again I dont blame A for being insecure -- he has lost a lot in life) Perhaps a scene with him asserting that she is his girlfriend while she is there (blushing of course) would do...then it would be a clear cut mature romance.

yeah its differece of opinion that you find flirting in lab infront of team while discussing anything serious (about murders and dead bodies) is Cute
and I find it reall odd and that too in this age, and if we say age doesnt matter in love and flirt its wrong see if Acp sir loves and flirts in presence of all that would be too cute na...
Anyways it can be lead to fight may be and i dont want it so its end of discussion for me bcz we cant make each other what we feel about it and will stick on our points

@storygirl: I appreciate your point of view. If this tracks sticks to concern and safeguarding each other then its ok with me. Just that i loath any thing juvenile like in DS track. If FW doesn't show this track inane, then no protest from my side. Apols if i have hurt anyone's feelings. Its my opinion

there are many reasons why I hate AT track..but the main reason is T's overacting...tarika turns even a romantic scene into comedy with her weird expressions and pathetic dialogue delivery...🤢...I want a better actress opposite Abhijeet...thts all...and a mature romantic track plz...dancing like a foolish on "tune mari entriyaan" and flirting in front of the juniors on duty doesn't suits Abhijeet at all...atleast I don't want to see my Senior Inspector Abhijeet like that...
