LOL..happens due to lack of understanding about film production process.
2 years ago I felt the same.

Hansal Mehta found Aditya sir to be...
1) Sweet:- because he trusted Hansal that the money he invests in as co-producer willnt go to drain.
2)honest/down to earth:- because he knows playing the male lead isn't his cup of tea,playing Tito would benefit all 3-Hansal,Manoj and Himself.
3)underrated:- because he is in TV projects and actors are always looked down upon by Bollywood.

not me,he himself said that in his interview for DSPKJH.
He feels he can play negative roles in mainstream movies better.
As far as lead roles are concerned, he believes the mainstream actors are better.He feels more comfortable playing positive character roles or negative roles.
I agree because he really isn't comfortable doing la classic Bollywood style romance.

But I must say..Aditya sir is clever...very clever when it comes to his career. 😛
I believe DPMLY was a good experience for Adi sir because he now plans to open a production house after his stint in CID😃
If he was dumb,he wouldn't have offered to coproduce.But by doing so he made up for the money he lost not getting the lead role in lesser amount of time spent😆
Who knows he might have earned more than the leading guy?
