Scene 1
A girl and a guy is seen enjoying an early morning jog on a road, while discussing about their personal matters. The guy looks up to show his girlfreind his new office but notices a dead body hanging from a rope. CID is called and Daya arrives with Sachin, Shreya and Nikhil. While Sachin and Nikhil try to bring the body down, Shreya suggests that he might have been murdered while he was hanging from the rope. Daya says that in such a case the man might have made enough noise which doesnt seem to have happened. Once the dead body is brought down, they find no injury marks on the body and find no cell phone or wallet. However, Daya notices the watch on the body and concludes that it doesnt seem to be a theft case. Nikhil and Shreya visit the terrace from which one end of the rope was connected. They find an anchor with the help of which the rope was stuck there. Daya and Sachin vists the other terrace and finds nothing but the pulley and the remaining rope. Shreya joins them here and shows them the anchor. Nikhil brings along the watchman of the building who says that the body belongs to Sudhanshu.Sudhanshu used to work in an office in the same building. The watchman adds that Sudhanshu was seen working in his office till late the night before, i.e. even after 8 p.m. while everyone else had left by 7.30 p.m. Daya asks if there were any visitors but he says that he hasnt seen any visitor after 7.30 p.m. He says that the terrace keys are available to many other people who work in the same building in different offices. CID team concludes that the killer might be someone close to Sudhanshu, who knew about his habits of being in the office till late night. The killer might have been in the office from before 7.30 pm.
Scene 2
Forensic Lab
ACP, Abhijeet, Vikas, Vivek and Purvi present.
Salunke checks the body and explains that Sudhanshu was heavily hit on his head which rendered him senseless. When Abhijeet questions about the reason for his death, Tarika enters with the report that says Sudhanshu was poisoned. A chemical named Ethenecyanidetrioxide was used to slowly poison Sudhanshu to death. Salunke applauds ACP's memory when ACP says that he had heard about the same poison in an ealier case of Avinash Kumar's death. He adds that the poison takes around 4-5 hours before completing the task of killing ! Purvi wonders why would someone resort to such a method of killing to which ACP concludes that the murderer might be taking some revenge or might be mentally disturbed.
Scene 3
CID Bureau
Vikas, Purvi and Vivek are seen working on their computers when Abhijeet and ACP Pradyuman enter. They discuss about the case and predict that the murderer might have some personal grievance against Sudhanshu. ACP enquires if there has been any information about the shop from where the moutaineering stuffs (pulley, ropes, anchor, etc) were purchased, to which Vikas replies yes. ACP sends him to the shop and asks Abhijeet to visit Sudhanshu's wife.
Scene 4
Sudhanshu's home
Abhijeet, freddy, Nikhil and Vineet.
The team meets Sudhanshu's wife and sister-in-law there. Wife informs them that Sudhashu had Acrophobia, the fear of heights. Another unusual thing was that Sudhanshu was tensed since some days as he had to pay someone a sum of One lakh, forty thousand, four hundred and ten Rupees on the first friday of every month. The sister-in-law adds that he was desperate to collect the amount of money somehow as he had also asked her for money. Abhijeet concluded that Sudhanshu must have been blakmailed regarding something which forced him to pay such a huge amount every month.
Scene 5
Vikas, Sachin and Shreya visit the mountaneering shop. The shopkeeper checks the pulley, anchor and rope and says that the batch number has been removed and so he cant say anything about the buyer. Vikas insists him to check his records and see how many people bought such stuffs in the last one year. The shopkeeper gives the team details about the ten people from his records.
Scene 6
Sudhanshu's office
Abhijeet, freddy, Nikhil and Vineet visit Sudhanshu's office. He is informed by Sudhanshu's secretary that the latter had gone out with a bag in the afternoon, on the day he was murdered. She adds that he must have gone to a nearby place as he had gone by walking and was back within 15 minutes. Abhijeet asks if Sudhanshu behaved normally after returning, to which the girl replies that when he returned he didnt have his bag with him and had marks of cement and yellow colored paint on his dress.
Scene 7
Abhijeet and his team start looking for the construction house where Sudhanshu must have come to hand over the bag to the blackmailer. Everyone go in different direction and remain connected via bluetooth on phone ! Abhijeet and freddy share a casual conversation where Abhijeet asks if freddy was resting and Freddy replies that he would rest only once the construction site is found. Vineet finds the place and calls the entire team there. Abhijeet notices a Pan shop on the opposite side of the road and says he wants to visit the pan shop. Vineet whispers to freddy why would they visit a pan shop during investigation when freddy asks him to keep his mouth shut in front of Abhijeet sir as he is a tough person to deal with. Abhjeet overhears their conversation and asks Freddy what has he been saying about him to others. Finally, they visit the pan shop, where Abhijeet shows a Rs.500 note to the shop owner and asks him about Sudhanshu and the bag. The shop owner accepts having seen Sudhanshu keeping his bag there and leaving without it. before he could check the bag, a lady 5 feet 5 inches tall, with long hair came and took away the bag. He couldnt see the lady's face properly !
In the meantime, Vikas, Sachin and Shreya visited the people who had bought the mountaneering materials from the shop and checked if they still had those with them. Finally, they come to a house, where a lady informs them that his husband, Ankush who they were looking for, had died in a fire accident at his office 5 days ago. She confirms that her husband had bought the mountaneering stuffs but wasnt aware where he had kept them. Shreya checks the house but finds them nowhere. Vikas notices a photo on the wall where Sudhanshu, Ankush and 2 other men were standing together. The wife says that Sudhanshu was Ankush's business partner till a year back when they ended their partnership because of conflicts of ideas. One of the other two men were Ritesh, who was Ankush and Sudhanshu's friends but she wasnt aware of the fourth man. She adds that the photo was taken 2 years back, on the 14th of April, 2010 at Wave resort during a conference meet.
Scene 8
CID Bureau
ACP and Vikas standing inside ACP's cabin, when Abhijeet enters with the report from the fire brigade. The report says that the fire that took place at Ankush's office was due to petrol, which means it was intentionally done. The team concludes that Ankush and Sudhanshu must have some common enemy, may be at the business side or personal side. purvi enters with the details of Ankush's bank accounts. He too, used to pay the same sum (as that of Sudhanshu) to someone on the first fridays of every month. ACP wonders why would someone pay a wierd amount of Rs.140410 to anyone and writes the sum on the board with a marker. Something strikes Abhijeet and he says that the mystery of the number might have been solved. He says that the sum denotes a date.. 14/04/10 , i.e. 14th April, 2010. Vikas remembers that Ankush's wife had told them about this date... it was this day when Ankush and his 3 friends, Sudhanshu, Ritesh and a fourth guy had visited Wave resort. ACP asks them to visit the resort and investigate.
Scene 9
Wave Resort
Sachin, freddy and Vineet interogate the hotel manager , who confirms about the conference that took place on that particualt day when he sees their photo. He says that the conference is still in his mind because it was the first time that police had come to investigate in the hotel because of them. The unknown man in the photo belonged to Vibhor, who went missing after the conference party that took place in the hotel.
While the CID team was about to leave, the watchman stops them. He informs them that Vibhor was badly drunk that night and was taken out from the hotel by the other 3 friends of his...i.e. Ankush, Sudhanshu and Ritesh. But when they returned, Vibhor was no longer with them. Sachin asks Vineet to take down the watchman's number.
Scene 10
Vikas, Sachin and others reach a hotel where Ritesh's cell phone was tracked. They bump into the hotel manager and asks them about Ritesh who seemed to have no idea at all. they ask a waiter who confirms that ritesh was seen at the conference some minutes back. The manager adds that the conference got over 5 minutes back and directs them towards the hall. On reaching the hall, the team is told that the members of the conference have left. CID team runs down the stairs to find Ritesh before he leaves, but notice a croud asking for help outside the lift. On asking about the matter, some inform that a man was stuck inside the lift. They notice Ritesh's photo in Vikas's hand and say that it was the same man inside. Sachin uses a key to break open the lift and brings Ritesh out. He is rushed to a hospital when he was found to be senseless.
Scene 11
At the Hospital
The doctor tells Daya that Ritesh is out of danger now. Ritesh was poisoned but since the poison takes time to effect, he is safe now. Daya meets Ritesh and asks if he had seen the person who had posioned him. ritesh answers No. he adds that he was pushed inside the lift which made him lose his consciousness as he has anginophobia, fear of cbeing in closed rooms, or areas. This makes the team think that Ritesh too was attacked by the same killer who killed Ankush and Sudhanshu. Daya asks him about the 14th April affair. After a bit of hesitation, he tells him about the the incident that had taken place on that day. On that day, Vibhor was over drunk, when he along with Ankush and Sudhanshu take Vibhor out for a ride. When they reach a hilltop, they park their car and sit together for chatting. They discuss about each other's fears when they come to know about Vibhor's fear of heights, Altophobia. They dare him to stand on the edge of the valley and look down as long as he could. While doing so, Vibhor loses his balance (as he was drunk) and falls into the valley. None of them find him or his body and thus return to the resort without him. they had decided to keep the incident a secret among themselves, before someone started blackmailing about the matter since few months. When Daya asks him about a lady of height 5 feet 5 inches who was fair and had long hair, he tells him about Vibhor's wife, Manisha.
Scene 12
Daya, Vineet, Nikhil and Purvi visit Vibhor's house but finds the door locked. A neighbours tell them that there had been no one in the house since more than a year. Daya notices that there were no letters in the letter box and decided to go inside and check. They unlock the door and get inside. The house was found to be clean and also the electric connections were still uncut. Further the team finds fresh vegetables in the kitchen and fridge which makes them to conclude that the house was still visited by someone regularly. they decide to go out and wait. After sometime, a lady arrives, with scarf around her face. She is about to enter Vibhor's house but CID team stops her from behind. However, she fires a couple of bullets before eloping, followed by a short chase scene that takes place. Purvi removes the scarf and find Manisha(Vibhor's wife) to be the lady. This is followed by the usual slap and the scene shifts to a house where Manisha brings Vibhor , in front of the CID team, on a wheelchair. Vibhor confesses that he was the one blackmailing Ankush, Ritesh and Sudhanshu about the incident of 14th April, 2010. he wanted to take revenge as he was pushed from the hilltop by someone from behind. CID team is shocked to know this. Vibhor says that he didnt murder any of them as he was himself unaware of the main culprit who had pushed him into the valleys of death.
Scene 13
CID Bureau
ACP and Vikas are seen discussing the case in ACP's cabin while Abhijeet is working out something on his computer. He finds something amusing and rings up at the hotel where Ritesh was found unconscious. Overjoyed at his revelation, he informs ACP that the conference that had taken place in the hotel was for submarine engineers, hearing which ACP too gets the hint about the killer.
Scene 14
At the hospital
Daya, Vineet, Nikhil and Shreya hurry to meet Ritesh but dont find him in his room. The nurse informs that he was taken to a different room for some blood tests. Daya tells the nurse to inform the attendant to keep Ritesh with him till they come. When CID team reaches the room, they find the attendant injured with a knife. He tells them that Ritesh had managed to run away. Daya asks his team mates to call a a doctor for the attendant and start looking for Ritesh all over the hospital. While Nikhil was busy searching, Ritesh comes from behind and attacks him with a rod. He keeps Nikhil on gun point and tries to leave the hospital. When Daya and Shreya try to stop him, he tells them to put their guns down or else he would kill Nikhil. Vineet shoots from behind and Daya slaps Ritesh.
Confession : Ritesh confesses that he was the one who had tried to kill Vibhor on the 14th of April, 2010. When the blackmailings began, Sudhanshu and Ankush started threatning him of disclosing the truth to everyone. So he murdered Sudhanshu and Ankush, and in a way that would point towards the blackmailers. When asked why he tried to kill Vibhor, he tells that he hated Vibhor as the latter had married Manisha whom he fancied since college days.
