True CIDians don't need MIDs or proxy whatever. They are bold enough to be their own trueselves.😊
If a member is clean and wants to avoid being punished, s/he should not visit IF through sites like kproxy. That's what we are trying to clarify.
When we make a post here, we can see a message above our post saying 'IP logged', which means our IP address is stored by IF. If a member decides to create 10 ids, the mods can find that all these 10 ids are from the same IP address and ban all of them.
We have seen some members here posting spam and video links every week with a new id. Such people use proxy sites like kproxy, so that each time they create a new id, their real IP addresses do not show up. That's how they go scot-free.
Kproxy gives an anonymous IP address through which we cannot trace the person's location(by the usual methods). But it might also assign the same IP address to some other user. If a genuine user uses those sites, the same IP address will show up with many other user ids and it will look like an MID case.
A genuine user should avoid accessing IF through sites like kproxy. Access IF directly from your browser and you'll be safe.
Roopal, 2 people can definitely use the same computer and internet connection. The checks are done only when one of them starts misbehaving. If one of them gets a warning level raised or someone starts suspecting that 2 posts on the same thread are from the same person. Otherwise no checks are made. Relax.
(This does not refer to office proxy servers. )
